Fans are excited because actress Miranda Cosgrove has hinted at a possible new “iCarly” project to pick up where the recently canceled Paramount+ revival series left off.

In an appearance on “The Talk,” Cosgrove gave hints about what would happen without giving away all the information. “I’m not allowed to 100% confirm anything yet, but I think the fans are going to be super excited because we have something in the works,” she told the show’s hosts.

Miranda Cosgrove is recalling an interaction she had with a young iCarly fan that didn’t necessarily go as expected.

During an appearance on Wednesday’s episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, host Kelly Ripa noted how the 30-year-old actress and singer had “not changed very much” since her debut acting role in 2003’s School of Rock at age 9.

“I do sometimes [get recognized],” Cosgrove said in response. “It’s funny because there was a moment when a lot of young kids didn’t really know who I was because [iCarly] hadn’t been on for a while. Then, Netflix got the show and they started playing the old seasons.”

The Mother of the Bride actress went on to recall an encounter she had with a young fan during a recent Target shopping trip.

The actress chatted to Et Canada’s Dallas Dixon about “iCarly” season 3, when he mentioned he loved seeing queer representation on the series.

The third season dropped at the start of Pride Month, and features queer character, Harper, played by Laci Mosley.

The revival of “iCarly” has been renewed for Season 3 at Paramount+.

This will mark the ninth season of the series overall, as the original show ran for six seasons on Nickelodeon between 2007 and 2012. The third season of the revival will debut in 2023.

The revival series stars Miranda Cosgrove as Carly, Jerry Trainor as Spencer, Nathan Kress as Freddie, Laci Mosley as Harper, and Jaidyn Triplett as Millicent. The new show sees Carly move back to Seattle and share an apartment with Harper.

The iCarly revival will remain alive for another season at Paramount+.

Paramount+ is letting iCarly live more life and breathe more air — the revival has been renewed for a third season, set to premiere in 2023, TVLine has learned.

The show’s 10-episode second season wrapped on June 3 with a somewhat unexpected Carly/Freddie cliffhanger. After overhearing Freddie saying that Pearl will never know him as well as Carly does, Pearl accused the longtime besties of being in love with one another — and they didn’t exactly jump to deny it.

The two MTV execs sat down with TheWrap and broke down how a team of 800 people “pulling double-duty” works to ensure a smooth show consisting of two distinct yet equally important ceremonies.

The pop culture awards show has offered television enthusiasts and movie fanatics fun celebrity fare and antics for the past three decades. This year, the show has added another ceremony — focused on highlighting unscripted reality series — that will be airing its second installment back-to-back on Sunday.

“Those are two pretty clearly defined lanes … that kind of helps us really define what the two shows are, but [we] still want it to fall under the ‘Movie & TV Awards’ umbrella, which is all about the fans,” WhiteWolf said. “It’s all about fandoms.

Paramount+’s “iCarly” revival may be another oft-touted example of repackaged IP for these nostalgia-driven times. But stars Miranda Cosgrove and Nathan Kress see it as both an homage to the beloved Nickelodeon original and its fans, as well as an exercise in “realism” rather than plain fanfare.

“We’ve gone through our early to mid-20s, and we’re heading into our 30s and that’s freaky,” Kress, who plays Freddie, told TheWrap. “We’re able to use that as a basis for realism in this entire show, and I think, fortunately, that’s what made it relatable to our audience because they were growing up right there with us. We weren’t just trying to stay in this box of, ‘We’re a kids show so we’re gonna stay forever youthful and naive and just happy all the time.’”

Fortunately, the team (almost all) came back together for a revival on Paramount+ that debuted its first season in 2021.
