Her grandchildren (Kevin Brettauer, Emily Brettauer, and Michael

She was the wife of Erwin O. Brettauer, a German Jewish freedom
fighter/immigrant who moved to New York City to escape the Nazis. She
gave birth to Margo Brettauer in 1947 and Karin Brettauer in 1950
