Nolan Leary was born on 26 April 1889 in Rock Island, Illinois, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for Strangler of the Swamp (1945), The Tiger Woman (1944) and Pollyanna (1960). He was married to Helen Leary. He died on 12 December 1987 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

An actor/playwright, he played on the stage as far back as 1911, later
appearing in over 150 movies, mainly in bit parts. He was the uncle of
actress <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0384578/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Phyllis Hill</a>.
