In a year of shocking goodbyes and exciting returns, it may be the perfect time for General Hospital to bring back two long lost characters.

Port Charles recently said a heartbreaking goodbye to Sam (ex-Kelly Monaco) after she died (or was she killed?) from a heart attack post-surgery. Before that, Finn (ex-Michael Easton) said farewell when he entered rehab after falling off the wagon. Between the two of them, Monaco and Easton have over three decades of history in Port Charles, but that didn’t start on Gh.

Blast From Port Charles’ Past

Before Easton arrived in Port Charles as McBain, Silas, and Finn, respectively, the actor first entered the world of Gh as Caleb on the spin-off Port Charles. The show ran for six seasons on ABC, two of which starred Easton as the unforgettable vampire.

General Hospital spoilers reveal Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zampronga) has settled in quite comfortably at the Quartermaine mansion. He may be miserable and missing Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), but he knows he can’t hold it together in front of the kids at the penthouse they shared with her right now.

Moreover, he’s not sure what the future looks like and who will be caring for Sam’s kids now that she’s gone. It’s starting to look like Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will end up deferring to their kids’ desire to stick together, which may mean Dante is staying put at the mansion, too.

That’ll make for some interesting plot twists if Lulu Falconeri (Alexa Havins) ends up there soon too. With Lulu waking up and returning to her family, she may not actually land where everyone thinks.

Character actor Nicholas Pryor passed away from cancer at his home in North Carolina on October 7, 2024, at the age of 89. Pryor performed in films, television shows, and Broadway productions for over seven decades. His wife Christine Belford confirmed the cause of death.

Pryor displayed a wide range of roles throughout his long career. He appeared in iconic films like “Risky Business” and “Airplane!” in memorable parts. Born in 1935 in Baltimore, Pryor began acting on stage after studying at Yale University. He performed for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and made his Broadway debut in 1957.

Pryor took on numerous roles in daytime soap operas from the 1960s onward. His first part was in the original cast of “Another World” in 1964. Much later, he portrayed Victor Collins on the spinoff series “Port Charles” from 1997 to 2002. Beyond soap operas, Pryor had a recurring role on “Beverly Hills, 90210” and guest starred in many other popular shows.

Back from her annual summer vacation, “General Hospital” fans will finally get to see Laura’s perspective following the recent return of her son, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), when Genie Francis pops back into Port Charles beginning with the Wednesday, October 9 episode.

Last seen in late August, when she and her husband, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), set off to find Lucky, who, at the time, was being held captive in a refugee camp somewhere in Africa, Laura is set to have an emotional reunion with her son on the Thursday, October 10 episode.

Scenes between Francis and Jackson will mark the first time the two will have shared screentime together since 2015 when the latter briefly reprised his role to help celebrate the retirement and subsequent exit of Anthony Geary, who played Luke Spencer on the series. He attended Furman University and was an actor of stage, television and movies. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild. He appeared in many plays with Columbia’s Trustus Theatre which was started by his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Kay Thigpen.
