Derek de Lint was born on 17 July 1950 in The Hague, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. Derek is an actor and director, known for Soldier of Orange (1977), Black Book (2006) and Poltergeist: The Legacy (1996). Derek has been married to Dorith Jessurun since 1979. They have three children.

Besides playing Mr. Bancroft in the original English version, he also provided the voice of Meneer Bancroft in the Dutch version of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt0288263/?ref_=nmwrk">Tom &amp; Thomas (2002)</a>.

Provided a voice in the Dutch version of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt1606610/?ref_=nmwrk">Heavy Rain (2010)</a>.

(2014) Provided the voice of Baron Schaeven-Haghe in the Dutch version of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt0787474/?ref_=nmwrk">The Boxtrolls (2014)</a>. (De Boxtrollen).
