- His father was of Russian Jewish descent. His maternal grandparents were Croatian emigrants from the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
- Stanley Livingston had a minor hit single record in 1962 with the song "Hairspray" (R. Plaisted and R. Page). The B-side was "Pen Pal" (J. Macrea). Accompanying band was arranged and conducted by Garry Paxton. The songs were released on Marilyn Records number 03, distributed by Original Sound Sales Corp.
