Died while playing the character of Anita Flores in Come Dance with Me! (1959) with Brigitte Bardot. Her scenes were re-shot with Dawn Addams.

Although regarded as a French film actress, modelling reference sources indicate she was born in Austria in 1936 of Slavonic heritage. Raised in Paris and graduated from the Lycée.

Fluent in six languages.

Before her film career she modeled for fashion designer Jacques Fath in "Vogue" magazine, and used the name "Sylvia Sinclair".
