Badass Benson is back! It's been a long four months since Olivia Benson put William Lewis in the morgue and welcomed baby Noah into her life on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, so Sept. 24's season 16 premiere can't come soon enough for Svu diehards — or for Us Weekly! As Mariska Hargitay, 50, explains, becoming a mother will soften her character Benson in upcoming episodes. "She's been single-focused for many years and had one priority: to seek justice. That has been No. 1, 2 and [...]...

"You know, I think it's really interesting that these two characters kind of came into my life around the same time," said Pablo Schreiber during our recent webcam chat (watch below) about his villainous turns in "Orange is the New Black" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." "I think that these two roles came at a very specific time in my life when I think it was essential for me … to expose and hopefully expunge a little bit of my darker side." -Break- Taryn Manning likens 'Oitnb's' Pennsatucky to rock star run amok (Exclusive Video) He expressed that darker side in two very different ways: in a comic role as a corrupt prison guard known as "Pornstache" in "Orange," and in a dramatic role as depraved serial rapist William Lewis on "Svu," both of which are being entered for Emmy consideration for guest acting. He readily admits it was easier fo.

On Friday, we'll talk with Pablo Schreiber about his pair of nefarious TV roles: George "Pornstache" Mendez on the Netflix series "Orange is the New Black," and recurring villain William Lewis on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Join us for our live chat on June 6, at 10:00am Pt/1:00pm Et on Gold Derby's home page. -Break- Taryn Manning likens 'Oitnb's' Pennsatucky to rock star run amok (Exclusive Video) Pornstache, so called because of his signature facial hair, is a corrections officer at Litchfield Prison, but he's at least as corrupt as the women he's guarding. During season one he smuggled drugs and covered up a deadly overdose. And William Lewis on "Law & Order: Svu" is arguably even more sinister. Introduced at the end of season 14, Lewis left a trail of victims – including a kidnapped and terrorized Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) – before his ...'...

Law & Order: Svu’s Detective Olivia Benson is no stranger to trauma, but this season, her experience reached another level thanks to William Lewis (guest star Pablo Schreiber). Lewis, a psychotic killer and rapist, set his sights on Benson a while back, even kidnapping her at one point. And despite his arrest earlier this season, Lewis was back in the most recent episode, when he went after a young girl to lure Benson back in.
His plan worked, but what Benson didn’t expect was that his plan would end with a good old-fashioned round of Russian Roulette. Lewis forced...

Three people were killed when a gunman opened fire outside two Jewish Community centers near Kansas City Sunday, April 13, in what is believed to have been a hate crime.
Three Dead From Shootings
Reat Griffin Underwood, 14, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City. He was in the car with his grandfather, William Lewis Corporon, who also died as a result of his injuries. Underwood, who was not Jewish himself, was there to audition for “Kc Superstar,” a singing competition for Kansas City area high school students. His grandfather, a doctor, had recently moved to Kansas City to be closer to his grandchildren.
Underwood’s mother and Corporon’s daughter, Mindy Corporon, spoke at a vigil for the victims of the shootings, hosted by the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, the church the family belongs to.

You know, at the very beginning I was a fan of Law & Order: Svu. It probably goes without saying that I’m not inclined to be a fan of anything after 40 or 50 seasons (or whatever this show is on), but beyond the general boredom of a show that has outlived its usefulness, Svu started going downhill after two seasons, and simply wasn’t the same show anymore.
Well, whatever, such is my humble anyway.
As if to specifically mess with me, the show is now forcing me to watch it again, as Donal Logue has been given a recurring role. Fresh off of three of the coolest shows, and roles, you’re going to run into (Copper, Vikings, and Sons of Anarchy), Logue will continue the role as acting commander of the Svu.

Harvey is better at manipulation than romance
Not that Harvey practices much law in "Buried Secrets." He is far too busy having sex with Scottie and trying to negotiate/manipulate her contract. With the British merger dead, Scottie needs a job. And Harvey wants a girlfriend.
The two might go together, but Jessica is wary of Harvey actually sticking with one woman. She agrees to hire Scottie as a partner -- on the condition that she buy-in to the firm immediately instead of six months later.

Michelle looked radiant in her Carolina Herrera ball gown, once again showing support for an American designer. The Obamas pulled out all the stops for their first state dinner in two years, calling on Chelsea Clinton's wedding planner to coordinate the logistics. They set up a huge tent on the South Lawn, where guests enjoyed the "best of American" cuisine that included caviar from Illinois, potatoes from Idaho, and dry-aged rib-eye beef from Colorado. For dessert, a Hawaiian chocolate-malted ganache was planned - and all the wines were American! For entertainment, Mary J. Blige was set to perform, but she wasn't the only showbiz guest. No matter how overwhelming the evidence and trustworthy the victims, sometimes the bad guys win.
In Wednesday's (Jan. 8) "Law & Order: Svu," Pablo Schreiber returns as serial rapist and murderer William Lewis. He goes to trial and is found guilty on a couple of charges, but really, he wins.
That means Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) loses. The only good thing is the ordeal should be over for Benson.
Given the final scene, when Lewis fakes a seizure and barely represses a smile knowing he has duped yet another woman, this time a physician, there's all too great a chance he'll return too.
If only the Svu detectives shot him when they had the chance, Tutuola (Ice-t) says. Though Capt. Cragen (Dann Florek) gives him a look for saying so, everyone on the squad and those watching must have thought the same.

After six long weeks of teary backstories, incessant Coldplay montages and Oscar-worthy editing, it's time... to face... the X Factor live shows.
We've already explained just why we love the live shows here, and we're hoping the return of an unedited Shazza will take things to the next level. Can Gary keep up his meanie persona? What words will Nicole make up this year? Will Louis kill off another Motown legend?
Join Digital Spy when The X Factor returns to ITV at 8pm to find out, and let us know your thoughts on the show in the comments box below and via our Twitter feed.
22:19We also have everything crossed for a return of The Group Performance, but either way, we'll be back tomorrow at 8pm, and we hope you can join us. Thanks for reading, and we'll see you then.

Pablo Schreiber is having a moment. As menacing corrections officer George “Pornstache” Mendez on Orange Is The New Black he stood out among so many amazing characters thanks to his horrifying, and at times hilarious, creepiness. With a simultaneous stint on Law & Order: Svu as serial killer William Lewis, Pablo’s perfected the art of playing monsters. Now he’s stepping out of the dark side to play good cop Virgil on Ironside, NBC’s new cop drama debuting tonight at 10/9c. (The show is actual a remake of one that aired on NBC from 1967-1975.) We chatted with the actor over the phone while he was on a break from shooting Ironside in Los Angeles and talked about fatherhood, fandoms and how Dolph Lundgren inspired that ridiculous Pornstache haircut.
Let’s start with Ironside. It has a very dark, gritty crime-drama feel that’s seems timeless. Had you seen the original?...

Detective Olivia Benson faced her darkest, and most intense, trial on the suspenseful season 15 premiere. Were you as enthralled as I was?
I was surprised that Mariska Hargitay didn’t get an Emmy nomination this year for her work on Law & Order: Svu – she won in 2006 and has received a total of eight nominations — and I’ll be even more surprised if she isn’t nominated next year, assuming NBC submits the Sept. 25 season premiere’s first hour for consideration. In a word, Mariska was phenomenal.
The first hour of the two-hour premiere picked up right where last season’s nail-biting finale left off, with Olivia Benson in the clutches of murder/rapist William Lewis (Pablo Schreiber). It was an edge-of-your-seat hour, as Olivia was tortured and drugged by the twisted Mr. Lewis, putting one of television’s most take-no-prisoners women — ironically, because she literally takes prisoners for a living...

Law & Order: Svu’s season 15 premiere picked up right where last season left off, with Olivia Benson in the all-too-creepy hands of William Lewis (Pablo Schreiber), the rapist/murderer who seemed to know just what to do to avoid a guilty verdict. Hour one of the premiere followed Benson as she was tied up, force-fed alcohol, drugged, and beaten by the man Orange Is The New Black fans will recognize as pornstache. And while Benson fought to stay alive, her colleagues tried desperately to find her.

Fifteen years in, a show isn't supposed to be this great.
The first hour of the season opener of NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" Wednesday (Sept. 25) is haunting, terrifying and Emmy-worthy. A second, unrelated episode followed, but it's the first half of the premiere, the conclusion to last season's finale, people will be talking about.
When last season ended, serial rapist William Lewis (Pablo Schreiber) had kidnapped Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) after a crime spree that included raping and torturing an older photographer (Judith Ivey).
Cragen (Dann Florek) ordered Benson to take off two days because she was so furious and frustrated that Lewis kept evading prosecution. Benson followed orders and went home -- where Lewis was waiting for her, gun drawn.
When the season opens, Benson is tied up and has duct tape over her mouth. She's woozy from drugs, and her face is swollen and bloodied. She knows...

When Season 15 of "Law & Order: Svu" begins Wednesday (Sept. 25), prepare for an even darker episode than where the show left off. The fearless Det. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) is held at gunpoint for most of the hour.
The episode takes us to depths even this show hasn't gone before. For much of the premiere, "Surrender Benson," the detective is handcuffed, beaten and taken on a hideous trip by serial rapist William Lewis (Pablo Schreiber).
Executive producer Warren Leight tells Zap2it why this episode, picking up on last season's cliffhanger, was so important to him and what he wants to do this season that's different.
Zap2it: Had Benson ever been in this sort of life-and-death danger before?Warren Leight: There was an episode [in Season 9] in which she went undercover in prison and was assaulted, a guard attempted to assault her and she was rescued by Fin [Ice-t]. That was the closest.

"Law & Order: Svu" has put Detective Olivia Benson's life in danger, leaving viewers to champion "Save Benson."
The Season 14 finale ended with Benson (Mariska Hargitay) at gunpoint, being held by William Lewis ("Orange Is The New Black" star Pablo Schreiber). Hargitay signed on for the new season of "Svu," so it's safe to say Benson will live ... but whether she makes it out of the situation unscathed is the real question. Benson's captor is known for raping and torturing his victims over a period of time.
"I want to live," she says in the promo above.
Hargitay shared the promo on Twitter with a special message.

Pablo Schreiber plays dirty (and that's putting it mildly) corrections officer George "Pornstache" Mendez on the Netflix original series, "Orange Is the New Black."
In addition to "Oitnb," the actor played a major part in "Law & Order: Svu's" recent Season 14 cliff-hanger finale as terrifying sociopath Dan Kozlowski/William Lewis, who took Mariska Hargitay's Det. Olivia Benson hostage.
Given his two most recent two roles, Pablo is relieved to be joining the good guys on his next show, "Ironside."

Pablo Schreiber is ready to hang up the mustache and play a good guy. After playing the horribly corrupt prison guard George "Pornstache" Mendez on Netflix's "Orange Is the New Black" and psychopathic rapist William Lewis on "Law and Order: Svu," Schreiber is excited to play a more normal character on NBC's new series, "Ironside."
"It was nice to turn in the mustache for something a little nicer," Schreiber told Zap2it. "It was liberating. After having played such nasty fellows, twice in a row, I'm really happy to get back to doing something that feels a little closer to home and expresses a side of myself that is there -- my nice side, my side as a father, which I am and so is my character."
Schreiber plays Virgil on "Ironside," a crime drama about a wheelchair-bound, tough-as-nails New York City cop, which is a big departure from his recent bad-guy streak.

We're right in the heart of silly season in X Factor land. With memories of James Arthur, Rylan Clark and MK1 (remember them!) slowly drifting away, talk of series 10 and this year's judging lineup had become a hot topic for Saturday night TV fans currently stuck in a pre-Voice/Britain's Got Talent Saturday no-man's land with only D-listers in drag on Let's Dance and some bloke from EastEnders ice skating to save us.
So who will be behind the desk on this year's X Factor? Digital Spy takes a look at the judges merry-go-round to try and figure out who is in and who is out.
Gary Barlow
After two years on the panel and not much talent to show for it (Marcus Collins, Christopher Maloney, Cocozza!) many expected Gary Barlow to be jumping off the X Factor funfair in 2013. He's never looked 100% comfortable with the show's balance between entertainment...

We're basically obsessed with Louis (Michael Urie) on "Partners" and we want him to be our best friend... but it's hard to deny that sometimes, his well-intentioned snark seems particularly mean when it's leveled at Wyatt (Brandon Routh), whose naive idealism can put him at a bit of a disadvantage in the battle-of-wits department. On occasion, Louis has dismissed the importance of Wyatt's sobriety, scoffed at his job prospects, and just straight-up prioritized Joe (David Krumholtz).
We were relieved, then, when we visited Urie on set, to learn that in an upcoming episode, Louis will find new reason to respect his boyfriend. Urie also gave us the scoop on Ali's humor deficiency, his La vs. NYC conundrum, and whether Louis and Joe actually have friends other than each other. Read on for our Q&A, and don't forget to tune in for "Partners" at 8:30 p.m. Est on CBS Mondays.

A billionaire businessman is calling on his fellow wealthy people to fight voter suppression, which he says is a mortal threat to American democracy.
William Louis-Dreyfus announced in a full-page ad in The New York Times on Tuesday that he has pledged $1 million to protect voting rights, and he asked others to join him.
If Louis-Dreyfus' name sounds familiar, it could be because he ran the eponymous global commodity trading company founded by his great-great-grandfather -- or it could be because his daughter, Julia, played Elaine in the television show "Seinfeld," and now plays the title character in "Veep."
"There is no right more fundamental to our republic than the right to vote," Louis-Dreyfus wrote in his message. "And yet there is a countrywide effort to prevent hundreds of thousands of people from voting. Many supporters of that suppression effort have admitted or implied that its purpose is to...

There's so much leading up to tonight's epic mid-season finale of Suits that we're literally counting down the hours. The tension and division at Pearson Hardman is at an all-time high and with the recent death of Mike's grandmother, things are about to get even more intense.
Here are 3 Burning questions for tonight's finale:
1. Will Louis switch sides?
After last week's disaster dinner, Louis is even more convinced that Harvey is only looking out for himself. I think the dinner was a genuine gesture, but Harvey got backed into a corner and had to hastily reveal that Louis was the scapegoat to Hardman's embezzlement. Jessica threatened Louis to choose sides, but which side will he choose? And will it be for the right reasons?
2. Will Mike and Rachel finally get together?
These two have had tons of chemistry over the seasons, but their will-they-won't-they potential took to the back-burner once...

We're hours away from the midseason finale of Suits, as Daniel Hardman and Jessica Pearson will finally face off to see who will gets control of the firm.
Of course, there are a slew of other story threads flying about on the appropriately titled “High Noon.”
Will Mike keep it together after the death of his grandmother? Will he turn to Rachel for comfort? If Jessica loses the battle with Hardman, where does that leave Harvey? And Donna? Will Louis be more of a kiss-ass to Hardman or actually help our good guys?
I grabbed some phone time with Suits creator Aaron Korsh earlier this week to talk about the finale and get a glimpse into where the latter half of the season (coming in January) will find our favorite attorneys and employees. Read on for the Q&A and consider yourself spoiler warned...
