Peggy Lu is a professional actor fluent in Mandarin Chinese who can be seen as the incomparable 'Mrs. Chen,' owner of a convenience store, in the Venom Trilogy from Sony Pictures. She has also appeared in award winning productions such as CBS' "NCIS: Los Angeles," NBC's "Superstore" and HBO's "The Sex Lives of College Girls," to name a few. Staying within the Columbia Pictures family, 'Mrs. Chen' could also be seen in "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse."
Peggy got her first taste of acting as a sophomore in college. Balancing her passion for the arts, Peggy attended pharmacy school, urged by her parents who wanted Peggy to have a stable job and financial freedom as she pursued acting. After receiving her Ph.D. from pharmacy school, Peggy moved to New York to pursue the craft and went on to work as a hospice pharmacist. Peggy will always remember the immense positive impact of her extraordinary hard-working immigrant parents and their sacrifices. Peggy dedicates her achievement to them, who paved the path for Peggy to achieve her American Dream.
When not acting, Peggy is a DIY enthusiast and amateur carpenter, which started as a hobby 15 years ago after rescuing two dogs from a shelter. She realized she needed dog gates and more, so she picked up some power tools that were on sale and began to build. Peggy now focuses mainly on making and upcycling furniture.
