For a high school graduation present, her classmates took up a
collection and paid her way to Hollywood. She was talented and
charming, but her career never took off.
She lived in England from 1943 to 1949.
She sang at the Royal Opera in Covent Garden, London, England.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard Hoffer, a composer.
