- The writer Bobby E. Lüthge belonged to the most busy authors of the German film of the 20's and 30's, whose career extended till to the 50's.
- After the war came again numerous scripts for movies into being, often for the then popular sentimental film with a regional background but also for other genres.
- During World War II he continued writing apolitical scripts and entertained the public with "Schneider Wibbel" (1939), "Casanova heiratet" (1940) and "Ich vertraue Dir meine Frau an" (1943).
- Besides his activity as a screen writer he also was busy for the magazine "Bühne und Film" and belonged to the founders of the magazine "Film-Kurier" in 1919 which became one of the most influential magazines which was published daily.
- He was married with the actress Hanni Weisse.
- E. Lüthge was able to continue his career in the sound film era and he was responsible for movies like "Drei Tage Mittelarrest" (1930), "Das Schicksal der Renate Langen" (1931), "Die Herren vom Maxim" (1933), and the propaganda movie "Hitlerjunge Quex" (1933).
