He was married to Aleksandra Sosnowska and Malgorzata Machalica. He died on 14 December 2020 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland.

Son of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0532535/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Henryk Machalica</a> and brother of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm1130238/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Aleksander Machalica</a>.
