Mutilator 2, a meta sequel to the 1984 cult classic slasher The Mutilator, has been picked up for worldwide distribution by Cardinal Xd.

“The fully signed copy of our distribution agreement just arrived” Buddy Cooper, writer-director of both Mutilator films, shared on Instagram. “I will begin deliveries tomorrow and they will begin advertising soon. I don’t know the plan, but they want to get it out there so it should be appearing soon.”

The Mutilator actors Ruth Martinez and Bill Hitchcock return to star as themselves alongside Terry Kiser (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood) and Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey At Night).

Eva Hamilton, Marco Reese Maldonado, Mark Francis, Loren Swan, Dan Grogan, Chaney Morrow, Jesse Contente, Eric Six, Cody Renee Cameron, Ruthie Martinez, Wyatt Easterling, Carl J. Grasso, Ryan James, Carroll Herring, Gabrilla Mead, Anna Clary, Emily Sue Bengtson, Peter Bussian, and Bryden Elliott Digennaro round out the cast.

Dreamscape Productions’ Round the Decay promises to deliver a fresh wave of terror as it opens in theatres on 31 January. There’s a scene towards the end of Black Eyed Susan when the titular AI sex doll (played by Yvonne Emilie Thälker) is travelling in a car. The driver, Derek (Damian Maffei), turns on some music, and it emerges that she’s unfamiliar with the concept. Writer/director Scooter McCrae seems to be setting us up for one of those inspiring bonding moments when a robot breaks through a cognitive ceiling and suddenly learns to appreciate this truly human experience, but any hope that Derek had of such a moment are dashed when she says flatly that she prefers the noise of the engine. The take-away would seem to be that she’s just a machine after all. it’s only later, thinking about it, that you might realise she has expressed a preference, and not merely performed to please the man she was with.

Probably the most divisive and challenging film at Fantasia this year, Scooter McCrae’s Black Eyed Susan tells the story of Derek (played by Damian Maffei), who is offered a job working for a tech company. The company sells increasingly realistic AI-powered sex dolls, and wants his hand-on assistance with testing and developing a doll who will deliver a satisfying response to being beaten – a doll marketed to potential domestic abusers. Towards the end of the festival, I got the opportunity to chat to Scooter, Damian, and Yvonne, who gives an uncanny performance as the robot, nicknamed ‘Susan’. I asked if they saw such products as an inevitable consequence of technological advances and capitalism.

Fresh new label Dreamscape Productions has wrapped principal photography on their creature feature Round the Decay, and they’ve provided Bloody Disgusting with some first look stills of the film’s cast and a peek at the flick’s monster, the Wrexsoul.

Writer and director Adam Newman teases the original practical creation at the center of the film (played by Rachel Pizzolato), “The Wrexsoul is inspired by many creatures of film’s past, but the sum equals something fresh and unique. We can’t spoil too much but we have an extensive lore that you’re going to have to check out once Round the Decay is released.”

Fresh new label Dreamscape Productions has announced the upcoming creature feature comedy Round the Decay, with Deadline bringing us the first casting news this afternoon.

Melody Kay (The NeverEnding Story III) will star alongside Victoria Mirrer (Everwinter Night), Phil Duran (“Breaking Bad”), Damian Maffei, Sarah Nicklin, and Rodger Clarke (Red Dead Redemption II).

Round the Decay follows “Kenzie (Victoria Mirrer) as she gets entangled in a sinister plot in the sleepy town of Newport Valley to get closure on her broken engagement.”

“When prominent locals take in a lost hiker, Kenzie, newcomer Roz and mysterious outsider Munroe find themselves caught between the leaders of the town’s factions and entangled in an ancient sinister plot dating back to its founder that threatens the survival of the town and their lives.”

Adam Newman wrote the script and is also directing the horror film.

While you wait for Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3 later this year from Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting, the team’s next horror movie Stream is headed to theaters in August.

Deadline has announced this afternoon that Terrifier 2 theatrical distributor Iconic Events Releasing will bring Stream to theaters nationwide on August 21, 2024.

The film will be coming to theaters in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Director Michael Leavy‘s Stream comes from Fuzz on the Lens Productions with the film’s makeup FX being handled by Terrifier and Terrifier 2 director Damien Leone!

The TCM universe will also be represented by Bob Elmore “Leatherface” from TCM2″ and Andrew Bryniarski “Leatherface” from the 2003 remake and TCM The Beginning. Trick or Treat Studios will host costume photo ops from both Leatherfaces.

Mick Strawn and Thomas L Bellisimo will be appearing representing Leatherface the 3rd installment of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Representing the TCM comic world is Mort Castle, acclaimed and award-winning horror writer who wrote the 1991 Leatherface comic.

A while back, we heard a new killer character, a new victim character (with the voice and likeness of genre icon Barbara Crampton!), and a new map called The Mill (which brings to mind a location from the 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake) would be added to the game soon – and now we know exactly when The Mill will be available for players to enjoy: March 28th!

A couple weeks ago, it was revealed that a new character portrayed by genre icon Barbara Crampton is being added to the game in an upcoming update – and now details on the character have been unearthed on the game’s official website! The character with Crampton’s voice and likeness is a Victim character named Virginia.

Here are the details: Virginia is a grief-stricken mother who cannot get over the disappearance of her son Jesse. She’s obsessive over his vanishing and refuses to believe that he could be gone. The weight of her pain is so immense she leaves behind her nursing career to move to Newt, TX, the last location Jesse was seen.

The new Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game from Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham was released for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One back on August 18th, and today they’re not only adding a new map (free to all players) and a couple of new characters (players will have to pay to access them), but also rolling out a patch that will fix multiple issues and make some changes. Now it has been confirmed that a new map called “Nancy’s House” is being added into the game, free of charge, on November 28th. New victim character Danny and new killer character Nancy are also being added, but players will have to pay $9.99 each to get access to them.
