Dave Margolin served 4 years and 1 month during WW2 in the US Navy as a hospital corpsman and petty officer first class in the South Pacific, from 1942 to 1947.
He went on to finish high school after his service then met my mother Vivian in 1948.
They were married in 1949 and remained married 64 years before he passed at 87 in 2013.
