Gloria (Maylia) Fong was born Gloria Chin in Detroit, Michigan. She married actor Benson Fong and received great reviews for her first film, Singapore (1947). She and Benson later ran the fabulous "Ah-Fong" Chinese restaurant in Beverly Hills. They have five children including Pamela Kwong Fong and Lisa Fong.
