Biography

    • James McCauley is a classically trained actor known for his versatility in both drama and comedy. He grew up in Brookfield, Connecticut, where he discovered his passion for acting as a senior at Brookfield High School in a production of Arsenic and Old Lace. After getting his first laugh on stage, the die was cast. James was accepted into the prestigious BFA program at SUNY at Purchase, an Alma mater of acclaimed actors such as Edie Falco, Wesley Snipes, and Stanley Tucci. After graduation, he moved to New York City, where he booked numerous television shows and films. In 2001, he was flown to Los Angeles and booked his first pilot, My Adventures in Television, starring alongside John Cleese, Ed Begley Jr., and Sherri Shepherd. James is recognized by audiences worldwide as "Captain Cook-Off," a.k.a. Leonard Stevenson, from That's So Raven, Cory in the House, and Raven's Home. He most recently starred as Matt Meyers on the WGN America series Outsiders, reuniting with Peter Tolan, the creator of his very first pilot. James McCauley lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actor/writer/teacher Jacqui Malouf, and their two daughters.
