Warehouse 13 is a beloved long-running sci-fi series that ran for five seasons (65 episodes) between 2009 and 2014 that focused on the titular secret government facility. The series follows two U.S. Secret Service Agents, Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) and Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock), who are tasked to the Warehouse and its incredible contents, featuring dangerous items and powerful artifacts that have paranormal or supernatural elements. The agents sort and uncover secrets about the contents, with storylines combining elements from their personal and professional lives.
The show feels like a mix of Doctor Who and The X-Files, with all the best aspects of both: a deeply personal character study of the lead characters mixed with fantastical sequences and other-worldly story arcs. A top-rated episode, like Season 1, Episode 12, 'MacPherson' shows an emotional core combined with an exciting narrative, whereas another, like Season 3, Episode 6, 'Don't Hate the Player' shows the series' comedic side with a lighter-hearted plot.

Science fiction is a genre that uses futuristic concepts, science, and technologies to explore humanity's capabilities. However, while elements like time travel, space exploration, and parallel universes are perfect for philosophical musings, they can also be leveraged for lighthearted hijinks and comedy. Lighthearted comedic sci-fi shows can utilize the high-stakes settings in the genre and find humor in the fantastical and otherworldly settings.
TV shows that flawlessly blend sci-fi elements with comedy and fun shenanigans often highlight the absurdity of the sci-fi genre and its tropes. Additionally, incredible sci-fi shows that embrace the zany and chaotic nature of the story give hope that the future isn't a dystopian wasteland filled with horrors. Comedic sci-fi shows can prove that no matter how science and technology change humans, humans will find a way to celebrate life with laughter and joy.

Some sci-fi TV shows have gotten even better with time and make for a great re-watch. One of the most entertaining things about watching an older sci-fi show or movie is to see how they envisage the future. Back to the Future has proved that self-tying shoes and flying cars may not be one of humanity's top priorities, but watching a show about the future, made in the past, can be both frightening and hilarious.
Viewers have also always been curious about discovering other planets or alternate realities. Some series tend to tackle the subject with care and trepidation, while others focus on a more lighthearted approach. But, the true beauty of the best sci-fi shows is embracing all the suspension of disbelief that the genre so graciously offers. While some classics like Star Trek don't even need to be mentioned, some relatively old shows from the last 20 years or so shouldn't be forgotten either.

There are several incredible sci-fi shows that see long runs on television, airing without seeing a single bad season. This is in stark contrast to the trend that seems to be developing more and more as of late, where sci-fi shows that don't deserve to be canceled are prematurely ended, and other underappreciated sci-fi shows never get the recognition they deserve. Although some long-running sci-fi shows like Doctor Who have been panned in recent years for poorly written seasons, many sci-fi shows with five seasons or more retain a consistent standard.
Though there are many incredible sci-fi movies set to release in 2025, sometimes a sci-fi TV show with plenty of episodes is exactly what a viewer needs. It is rare to find a series that truly has no bad seasons, remaining of a certain quality all the way through. With so many quality seasons to keep one busy, shows like...

Throughout their messy and prolonged courtship, "Bones" couple Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) played their fair share of romantic musical chairs. They both tested the waters of a workplace relationship fairly early on in the show's run, with Brennan hopping into bed with Booth's FBI colleague Tim "Sully" Sullivan (Eddie McClintock) -- and causing a bit of a ruckus among Fox's censors -- in season 2. This was around the same time that Booth restarted his own amorous association with the then-newly-appointed boss of the Jeffersonian Institute's forensic division, Camille "Cam" Saroyan (Tamara Taylor).
As the saying goes, if you can't be with the one you love, hook up with the one who will abruptly vanish in a few episodes (unless they become a fan favorite like Cam).

Bryan Fuller's "Hannibal" is a series about serial killers who, much like the titular cannibal famously featured in "The Silence of the Lambs," approach their grisly crimes as a sick, twisted form of personal creative expression. One killer, for example, arranges their victims into a totem pole on a beach, while another turns a person into a human cello. You would think the show's gorgeously grotesque crime scenes would be the thing that got it into trouble with censors ... but you'd be wrong.
The show's fifth episode, "Coquilles," features what might be the most head-scratching example of censorship in a series full of them. As the episode begins, a couple is discovered murdered in a motel room. Their corpses have been beheaded and positioned so that they appear to be kneeling in prayer in front of a bed, the skin on their backs having been torn away to form...

Two years ago, we heard that production was about to wrap on an action horror film called Wolf Mountain, directed by David Lipper and starring Danny Trejo (Machete) and Tobin Bell (Saw). Saw star Tobin Bell teams with Machete’s Danny Trejo in the trailer for the slasher movie The Curse of Wolf Mountain. Bell debuted as famed horror villain Jigsaw way back in 2004’s original torture porn classic Saw, going on to reprise the role seven times, with an eighth appearance set to happen later this year in Saw X. Trejo in the meantime has become an overall genre movie icon thanks to decades of roles in fare ranging from Desperado to Anaconda to Con Air to, of course, 2010’s grind house tribute Machete and its sequel Machete Kills.
Despite both having been around for so many years, Saw X star Bell and Machete icon Trejo had surprisingly never appeared together in a movie, but now that has been remedied thanks to the low-budget slasher The Curse of Wolf Mountain, which just dropped a new trailer (via IGN).

Good Deed Entertainment’s genre label Cranked Up Films has acquired U.S. rights to American Badger, an action film written and directed by and starring stunt veteran Kirk Caouette. It is set for a digital and VOD release on June 15.
Caouette plays a hitman known as Badger, the nickname that came from his wife, who died 4451 days ago. Since her passing he has been living the life of a recluse, operating in the shadows. But all that is about to change with his latest assignment: Make friends with a sex worker named Velvet (Andrea Stefancikova) and extract information about the inner workings of an Albanian gang she works for. An unlikely romance follows until Badger’s handler tells him that it is time to take down the syndicate — and the first person he must kill is Velvet.

Wilford Brimley, the beloved character actor who starred in such film as “Cocoon” and “The Natural,” died Saturday at age 85.
He had been sick for two months with a kidney ailment, his agent told the New York Times.
The Utah native found his breakthrough role as a recurring character in the 1970s period drama “The Waltons.” Soon, he played a range of often crotchety characters on the big screen, including a nuclear power plant engineer in 1979’s “The China Syndrome,” a tenacious district attorney in 1981’s “Absence of Malice,” a country music manager in 1983’s “Tender Mercies” and the manager of a perpetually losing baseball team in 1984’s “The Natural.”
His biggest role may have come in Ron Howard’s 1985 hit “Cocoon” as the leader of a group of outcast senior citizens who discover a swimming pool that magically restores their youth — a character that was significantly older than his...

Following the sad news that Stan Lee passed away yesterday at the age of 95, social media has been awash with fans of his work paying their respects to him. For those lucky enough to have met the Marvel legend at comic cons or for comic book creators or movie stars who worked with him, a lot of folks have been sharing their photos with Lee to commemorate how much he meant to them. Or at least, that’s how most of us see it. Actor Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name) sees it a different way, though.
Hammer took to Twitter yesterday to leave a sarcastic message that criticized how people, specifically celebrities, were posting pictures of themselves with Lee to remember him instead of talking about the man himself. “So touched by all of the celebrities posting pictures of themselves with Stan Lee,” Hammer wrote. “No better way...

Considered by USA Network to have fired too many blanks of late, Shooter has been canceled.
The drama will be permitted to wrap up its ongoing third season, but will not return for a fourth, according to Variety.
Five episodes remain on Season 3.
For this, the Ryan Phillippe-led series is averaging 740,000 total viewers and just under a 0.2 demographic rating among 18-49-year olds, a sharp drop from last year's figures of 1.25 million and 0.35, respectively.
As is so often the case these days when a show gets the axe, fans are likely wondering whether Season 4 could be picked up by Hulu or some other streaming service.
And Variety does report that Universal Cable Productions and Paramount Television, which co-produce the series, are looking into this exact possibility.
But the odds are very low.

Shooter has fired off its final round; USA Network has opted to cancel the Ryan Phillippe drama after three seasons, our sister publication Variety reports. Shooter‘s third season is currently airing Thursdays at 10/9c, with five episodes still to run.

USA Network has opted not to order a fourth season of thriller drama series Shooter starring Ryan Phillippe. The decision comes as Shooter has crossed the midpoint mark of its 13-episode Season 3 run. I hear leading producer Paramount Television is shopping the series to other networks. Sibling Paramount Network, recently relaunched as Viacom’s leading brand for original scripted series, is a logical destination and I hear that there have been conversations but they appear to have stalled.
Following USA’s recent cancellation of Colony, also after three seasons, Shooter is USA’s lowest-rated remaining drama series among adults 18-49. Season to date, Shooter averages 471, 000 in 18-49 and 1.506 million total viewers in Live+3, down double-digits from Season 2 averages.
Shooter, whose 2016 debut was delayed because of a series of real-life mass shootings to after the November Presidential election, was a breakout hit. Despite lukewarm reviews, it was embraced by viewers — a...
