Michael Medeiros, born of Portuguese and Spanish parents was raised in Hawaii. He began in theatre at the University of Hawaii where he played in Coriolanus and Macbeth with Timothy Dalton and Cyril Cusack, winning the UTG Award for best undergraduate actor. Known as an actor of striking range and depth, Michael recurred as Gordon Landon on Manifest. In previous work, he won critical acclaim as Tennessee Williams in Goodman Theatre's bold re-imagining of Camino Real, was the Russian Political Officer in X-Men First Class who accidentally saves the world and played Dianne Wiest's husband in the Charlie Kaufman indie classic, Synechdoche New York. Crossing effortlessly between stage and screen, he's collaborated on seven episodes of Law & Order, one of which, "Disappeared," has taken on near cult status. He lead the cavalry charge as Major Reno in Son of the Morning Star, sang the title roles in Sweeney Todd and Man of La Mancha and starred as the drunken poet Igor in festival favorite, Sometime In August. An accomplished guitarist/composer, he has used those skills in three different productions of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. He has also written and directed for the screen including the feature, Tiger Lily Road, starring Tom Pelphrey, Ilvi Dulack and Karen Chamberlain. It played festivals internationally, winning the Audience Award for Best Comedy at Woods Hole, was the Opening Night film at Orlando International Film Festival and ran at New York City's Quad Cinema.
