On her 42nd birthday today, Priyanka Chopra, the beloved actress and global icon, has been inundated with warm wishes from Bollywood celebrities. Among them, Anil Kapoor, her co-star in the 2015 film Dil Dhadakne Do, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message alongside a memorable selfie with Priyanka.

The photo, seemingly taken during a climactic scene of the family drama, captured a moment of camaraderie between Anil Kapoor’s Kamal Mehra and Priyanka’s Ayesha Mehra characters. In his Instagram Stories, Anil Kapoor reminisced about their recent meeting at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding on July 12 in Mumbai. He conveyed his birthday greetings to Priyanka and Nick Jonas, mentioning that he passed on her message to his mother.

We know 2015 was not the best of years for Bollywood.

Zoya Akhtar’s multi-starrer dramedy Dil Dhadakne Do has fared stormy waters well with an impressive cache at the Box Office. In its opening weekend the family-centred film raked in Rs42.82 crores, making it the third highest opening weekend grosser of 2015. The film has also performed well in the overseas markets, with an opening weekend collection of $3.5 million (£1.5 million; 22.40 crores).

As well as impressing moviegoers with cinematic excellence, the film has garnered positive reactions from the Bollywood fraternity as well.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan who posted a heart-warming message on his social media site said, “Silences in a film allow the audience to enter the mind of the actor…rare … Ddd does that in abundance! Well done Zoya!!”

While director Karan Johar felt it was the best movie he’s watched in years; actor Rishi Kapoor praised director Zoya Akhtar for telling the difficult story so deftly.

After revealing the first look of different actors, the makers of Dil Dhadakne Do are now creating an air of mystery as they are unveiling the posters of each character from Dil Dhadakne Do family on a micro-blogging site. So far, producer Ritesh Sidhwani and the official handle of the movie have unveiled the posters of Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma from the movie. Here's how they introduced the characters:

The Dil Dhadakne Do team unveiled this evergreen star's poster by writing, "Mr Kamal Mehra @AnilKapoor in the house @DDDTheFilm #DilDhadakneDo"

Sonam Kapoor also shared the poster. "Hey daddy you look super handsome as #kamalmehra @anilskapoor http://ift.tt/1NYChGI," she wrote.
