Slender and attractive blonde Merle Michaels began her career in the adult entertainment industry as a nude model after her boyfriend came home one day with an issue of Screw magazine and pointed out to her a classified ad for nude modeling. Michaels appeared in several men's magazines prior to doing her first loop while also attending college as a journalism major. Merle made her full-length porn feature debut in the hardcore classic Debbie Does Dallas (1978). Among the notable adult film directors that Michaels worked for are Henri Pachard, Leonard Kirtman, Shaun Costello, Cecil Howard, Roberta Findlay, and Chuck Vincent. In the wake of retiring from the porn industry Merle went on to reportedly work as a journalist in Montana where she lives with her husband and four sons.
