  • Trivia
Before going behind the camera as a director, Edwin Middleton was best known as a stage actor specializing in comedic roles; he was for a long time a member of the stock company of the Girard Avenue Theater in Philadelphia before moving to New York City around 1905. By 1920, he is living on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles with his wife; the census return for that year lists his occupation as "motion picture director".
