Barron Trump is preparing to re-enter the real estate market with plans to relaunch his luxury property venture, Trump, Fulcher & Roxburgh Capital Inc., in the spring following his father’s inauguration.
The 18-year-old freshman at New York University’s Stern School of Business initially incorporated the business in Wyoming on July 14, 2024, but later dissolved it after Donald Trump secured victory in the 2024 presidential election.
The company’s principal address was listed as the Trump family’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Co-founder Cameron Roxburgh, who met Barron while attending Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, stated that the decision to dissolve the firm was made to “avoid media scrutiny during the election.” Roxburgh added that they plan to “relaunch it” once the new administration takes office.

The well-known musical stylings of Final Fantasy composers Nobuo Uematsu and Masayoshi Soken rang out in a very different venue this weekend. Uematsu is the legendary composer known for his memorable musical scoring for all the Final Fantasy games through FF10, and helped out other composers in the subsequent titles in the franchise. Soken, on the other hand, was responsible for the sweeping and gorgeous score of the Mmo Final Fantasy 14 and Final Fantasy 16.
The latest project for both composers isn't another Final Fantasy game, or even another game at all. Instead, the two Japanese video game composers have joined forces to provide the new theme music for the wrestler Kenny Omega. The theme made its debut at the Japanese Wrestle Dynasty, and was shared by SgtDrP3pp3rs on Reddit. The theme is, as expected of the two Ff composers, fully orchestrated and includes an epic full chorus as...

Mike Flanagan has teased his ‘Exorcist’ reboot and ‘Carrie’ TV show will both have “unique takes” on the horror franchises. The 46-year-old director is due to helm a reimagining of the classic 1973 horror flick and a small-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s 1974 novel for Amazon MGM Studios, and has now hinted both his projects will offer audiences new spooky experiences that are “feeling surprisingly timely”.He told a fan on Bluesky: "Our unique takes on both The Exorcist and Carrie are feeling surprisingly timely..."Before Flanagan took over ‘The Exorcist’ franchise, director David Gordon Green was set to helm his own trilogy, though was dropped from the series after his 2023 movie ‘The Exorcist: Believer’ failed to impress commercially or critically. In September, Flanagan said he was looking to “add” something new to ‘The Exorcist’ mythology, and fought “very aggressively” to acquire the rights to the series. He told The Hollywood Reporter...

"Tubular Bells" is the name of that iconic theme that plays in William Friedkin's The Exorcist, but had things gone another way, the director may never have secured the rights to the song. The Exorcist is one of the greatest horror movies of all time. It's hard to argue that considering its 10 Academy Award nominations with two wins, as well the large franchise of The Exorcist movies it spawned. Decades later, no exorcism movie, and there are dozens, has come close to eclipsing Friedkin's horrifying, fantastic creation.
Just about everything in The Exorcist is memorable or influential. Regan's (Linda Blair) head spinning and pea soup puking, the terrifying face of the pallid demon, "The power of Christ compels you!", and more are as much a part of movie history as the film itself. The parts are not better than the whole, but they're pretty great. The theme for...

Republican senators don’t seem too worried about all of the damning reporting emerging about Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth.
“They’re throwing disparaging remarks at someone who has earned a great deal of credibility. Are soldiers sometimes wild childs? Yeah, that can happen,” Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) told NBC News on Monday, the day after The New Yorker reported that Hegseth’s problematic behavior led two separate veterans groups to force him out of his leadership role.

When a horror movie is said to be based on a true story, the intended scary effect on the public is even more powerful. As a consequence, even in cases when the film is only loosely inspired by reality-or even urban legends that themselves borrowed some elements from ambiguous events-the label "based on a true story" is still worth using as a clever marketing tool. The possibility that the chilling story told on the screen could happen plays with the fear of the public, drawing them deeper into the narrative.
The horror genre is adept at reinventing history to suit its needs, exploiting the mysteries behind it and exaggerating the more alarming details. This ability to blur the line between fact and fiction and thrive into the unknown has created some famous horror movies that, although presumably based on a true story, can barely be called true.

A film historian might argue that the modern notion of the "blockbuster" wasn't born until 1975. It was that year that Steven Spielberg's "Jaws" was booked to open in hundreds of theaters simultaneously, a practice that was still uncommon at the time. In so doing, "Jaws" essentially created the "opening weekend," a notion that Hollywood is still enamored of to this day. Additionally, "Jaws" ramped up the marketing blitz, flooding advertising spaces with the "Jaws" logo. Giant commercial entertainments haven't been the same since. "Jaws" kicked the door down.
Of course, two years before, "The Exorcist" had already helped get that door unlocked. It wasn't opened as widely as "Jaws," but "The Exorcist" had staying power. It opened the day after Christmas in 1973, and ran in theaters continuously for 105 straight weeks. It has the biggest Christmas opening weekend of all time, only beaten by "Titanic" 34 years later. The world, it seemed,...

The Exorcist is my choice for the best horror movie of all time. Some may say Rosemary’s Baby or The Shining or Night of the Living Dead, but as a good Catholic boy, nothing has ever gotten under my skin the way William Friedkin’s original did. But, with great success comes the desire for Hollywood to make a hit into a franchise, but Friedkin was not a franchise director. He famously turned down French Connection II, but the studio, perhaps noticing how the second French Connection turned out decently, decided to go ahead and turn it into a franchise. Still, the results, with one notable exception were a disaster. So without any further adieu, here’s our list of Exorcist movies ranked – from worst to best.
Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977)

Stars: Russell Crowe, Ryan Simpkins, David Hyde Pierce, Chloe Bailey, Adam Goldberg, Adrian Pasdar | Written by Joshua John Miller, M.A. Fortin | Directed by Joshua John Miller
However you look at it, the fact that Russell Crowe has chosen to make two exorcist movies in as many years is a very strange decision. It’s like Jason Statham deciding to play another bee-keeper, or Glen Powell playing another hitman. Whatever the reasoning behind his decision, Crowe’s second exorcism movie, The Exorcism, is sadly disappointing, a murky, near-nonsensical effort with nothing to offer but jump scares.
In fairness, you can maybe see Crowe’s thinking when you take a closer look at the film’s pedigree. It’s directed by Joshua John Miller, the son of Jason Miller, who played Father Damien in William Friedkin’s The Exorcist. Similarly, rather than playing an actual exorcist, as he did in last year’s The Pope’s Exorcist,...

For over two decades, the trio known as Medeski Martin & Wood have pushed the boundaries of jazz fusion with their unique blend of improvisation, funk, and adventurous musicianship. In 2017, director Jason Miller set out to document the band as they recorded their first album in several years, secluding themselves at a picturesque studio in upstate New York. The result was “Not Not Jazz,” a title reflecting both the band’s genre-bending style and Miller’s goal to portray their artistic evolution through an intimate lens.
While Mmw had amassed critical acclaim and a dedicated following over their career, this film offered a rare glimpse into their creative process. Gone were the traditional talking head interviews; instead, Miller’s camera drifted among the trio as ideas emerged organically through improvised jam sessions. We see the birth of new melodies that would later emerge as finished songs, shaped through real-time group discussions...

The true heir to William Peter Blatty and William Friedkin’s 1973 masterpiece, The Exorcist III is returning this Halloween with a brand new 4K restoration from Arrow Video.
Arrow Video brings The Exorcist III to 4K Ultra HD in the United Kingdom on October 7, and Bloody Disgusting is exclusively debuting the trailer for the new restoration today.
The personal vision of Blatty (the acclaimed author of The Exorcist), The Exorcist III is set 15 years after the events of the first film and sees Lieutenant Kinderman investigate a series of horrific murders that follow the modus operandi of the notorious Gemini Killer… who died several years earlier in the electric chair.
After his friend Father Dyer (Ed Flanders) is murdered in his hospital bed, Kinderman’s investigations lead him to ‘Patient X’, a psychopath housed at the same hospital who claims to be the Gemini Killer, and who knows intimate crime scene details.

Mike Flanagan explains why he "very aggressively" fought to do his new take on The Exorcist. Five sequels and prequels would follow William Friedkin's seminal 1973 horror movie, the most recent being David Gordon Green's The Exorcist: Believer (2023). After Green's film disappointed critically and commercially, Flanagan, who is best known for projects like The Haunting of Hill House (2018) and Doctor Sleep (2019), is now taking the reins for the franchise in what has been described as a "radical new take" on the IP.
In a recent interview with THR, Flanagan shares more details about his upcoming Exorcist film, revealing that he pushed hard to be chosen as the filmmaker behind whatever project would follow Green's. According to the director, he passionately felt like his unique idea for the franchise was worth pursuing, and that it could up being "the scariest movie I've ever made." Check out his comment below:...

Updated, with Trump comment: Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign is taking a different approach to the rules for the upcoming ABC News debate than Joe Biden did: They don’t want muted mics.
But Donald Trump’s campaign does want the network to hit mute on whoever is not selected to speak.

The horror film The Exorcism, which was formerly known as The Georgetown Project and stars Russell Crowe, received a theatrical release in North America on June 21st (you can read our review Here) – and now we’ve learned that it’s scheduled for VOD release just two and half weeks after it hit the big screen. As of July 9th, genre fans will have the chance to watch The Exorcism in the comfort of their own home.

Ahead of Thursday night’s planned presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, each candidate’s campaign brass is viewing the televised event as a potential inflection point in a race that’s remained stubbornly stable and uncomfortably close in the polls for months.
Each campaign, according to senior sources in both camps, has calculated in recent weeks that their opponent can be easily baited into “self-destructing” on live TV, potentially damaging their appeal to swing and independent voters. (Trump, with his volatile temperament, and Biden,...

Your browser does not support the video tag. The Exorcism pays homage to Jason Miller's legendary role in The Exorcist with a cursed production twist. Chloe Bailey discusses the meta-horror elements and working with Russell Crowe in the movie. The Exorcism blurs the lines between reality and the supernatural, creating a chilling and tense climax.
Director Joshua John Miller's The Exorcism may not be a sequel to the 2022 hit movie The Pope's Exorcist, which also coincidentally starred Russell Crowe, but the new supernatural horror film does contain something of a nod to Miller's father. Jason Miller starred in 1973's The Exorcist, the production of which some have alleged to be cursed, much like the fictional movie being made in The Exorcism. If that already feels like something of a mind warp, be warned the screenplay by Miller and M.A. Fortin has only just begun to play tricks.

In The Exorcism, Russell Crowe plays an actor and recovering addict terrorized by demons, personal and otherwise. His character, an actor on the set of a fictional horror movie, also happens to be terrorized by a cruel director (Adam Goldberg), something with which director Joshua John Miller has a lot of experience.
Joshua John Miller, who co-wrote The Exorcism with M.A. Fortin (The Final Girls), pulled from personal experiences when creating his psychological family drama meets possession horror story. It’s hard not to see the parallels between the director and Crowe’s character, Arthur Miller, an actor struggling to find his footing again when he lands a role as the priest in an exorcism horror movie. Joshua John Miller, the son of late actor Jason Miller (The Exorcist), started his film career as an actor at age eight and amassed notable acting credits that include Halloween III: Season of the Witch,...

It’s a shame that The Exorcism, co-written and directed by Joshua John Miller — the son of The Exorcist actor Jason Miller — is a sloppy and unsatisfying genre exhumation. Miller and co-author M.A. Fortin flaunted oodles of metatextual proficiency with their superb horror-comedy The Final Girls that are nowhere to be found in their sophomore feature. Miller’s direction chases New Nightmare and Scream 3 highs by seeking inspiration from supposed haunted productions like The Exorcist and Poltergeist, but behind-the-scenes perspectives are frequently and confusingly dropped like a hot potato. The Exorcism fails the prospect of a bible-verse-chanting exorcism on a horror film set, spiraling from mundanity into a third act that abandons conceptual intrigue for the most forgettable finale imaginable.

Russell Crowe (The Pope’s Exorcist) stars in the new possession horror movie The Exorcism, which Vertical has brought to theaters nationwide beginning today, June 21.
Crowe plays a Hollywood actor in the meta horror film, and he suits up as a faux exorcist in the exclusive sneak preview clip below. You’ll also find the film’s trailer underneath.
Joshua John Miller, who wrote 2015’s The Final Girls and also starred in films including Near Dark and And You Thought Your Parents Were Weird, directed The Exorcism.
Joshua John Miller also wrote the script with M.A. Fortin (The Final Girls). This one is personal for Miller, as his late father was the star of the best possession movie ever made.
Miller said in a statement, “The origins of the film stem from my childhood spent watching my father, Jason Miller, playing the doomed Father Karras flinging himself out a window at the climax of The Exorcist.

Following his appearance in the solid possession thriller The Pope’s Exorcist in 2023, Russell Crowe returned to the supernatural genre once again, with his new horror flick The Exorcism. Sharing the screen with David Hyde Pierce and Ryan Simpkins, Crowe delved into the story of a troubled actor who unravels the dark side while filming a horror movie.

However, despite playing a victim of possession in the film, it wasn’t Russell Crowe who was scared of the other side, in real life. It was his co-star David Hyde Pierce, who recounted a spine-chilling experience while preparing for the film, that left him shaken to the core.
David Hyde Pierce’s Terrifying Preparation Experience for The Exorcism
Unlike Russell Crowe who came with previous experience of delving into the hardcore horror genre, David Hyde Pierce met with entirely first-hand experiences while filming the freshly released The Exorcism.

Joshua John Miller and his personal and creative partner, M.A. Fortin, never set out to make a movie about an exorcism because, as Fortin says to Miller, “Your father stars in the greatest one of all time.”
Miller’s dad was the actor Jason Miller, who played Father Damien Karras in “The Exorcist.” He often told Joshua stories of the purportedly haunted set, recounting fires that started around the production and the injuries and deaths that would impact those who worked on the film.
That real-life experience was one of the big inspirations for “The Exorcism,” a new movie Joshua directed and co-wrote with Fortin, in which Russell Crowe plays Anthony Miller, an actor portraying a priest in what looks to be a modern “Exorcist” remake while living with his estranged daughter Lee (Ryan Simpkins).

Russell Crowe's performance in The Exorcism is the standout element, giving depth to his character and making viewers empathize with his struggles. The effective score adds a chilling atmosphere to the film, but unfortunately, the final exorcism undoes the compelling character development from the first half. While the first half of The Exorcism focuses on character exploration and engaging storytelling, the shift to typical horror elements in the final act feels like a missed opportunity.
There has been some confusion surrounding The Exorcism, the new supernatural horror film starring Russell Crowe. Ill start by saying the film isnt a sequel to The Popes Exorcist, nor is it directly connected to The Exorcist, though The Exorcism director Joshua John Millers father, Jason Miller, starred in the allegedly cursed 1973 horror movie. All that aside, The Exorcism isnt wholly dissimilar, if only because it explores production troubles due to something sinister, in...

Director Joshua John Miller has a distinctly personal perspective on William Friedkin’s seminal horror classic The Exorcist: his father, Jason Miller, played the reluctant protagonist Father Karras. Yet, seeing his father die on screen in a horror movie isn’t the sole source of inspiration behind The Exorcism, an ambitious, personal piece of meta-horror. Miller and co-writer/partner M.A. Fortin (The Final Girls) channel their rage and experiences with grief into a family psychological drama, one that uses possession horror as connective tissue. However, combining personal family drama with scathing critiques of the Church and Hollywood ultimately means that The Exorcism struggles under the immense weight of its ambition.

The Exorcist directed by William Friedkin and written by William Peter Blatty is considered, still, perhaps the greatest horror film of all time, certainly the most popular. The 1973 movie was even nominated for 10 Oscars and won two, unheard of in the genre at that time. It has been endlessly imitated for the past half century right up to now, recently and notably David Gordon Green’s critically reviled 2023 reboot The Exorcist: Believer, which even brought original Exorcist star Ellen Burstyn back into the fold after all these decades. But the Og is impossible to touch, so what was going through Joshua John Miller’s mind when he decided to take on a new film so closely linked to it?
Director and co-writer (with M.A. Fortin) of The Exorcism, Miller has the 1973 film in his family bones, even if he wasn’t born until a year after its release. His father is Jason Miller,...

The behind-the-scenes story of the Russell Crowe horror vehicle The Exorcism is arguably more interesting than the film itself. Shot in 2019, the movie directed by Joshua Jason Miller was almost abandoned because of production shutdowns due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the moderate financial success of The Pope’s Exorcist (also starring Crowe) allowed them to revive the film and conduct reshoots. While The Exorcism is not exactly a great movie, it’s decent enough that viewers won’t regret its resurrection.

I used to simply think there were a lot of exorcist movies. There are, but that doesn’t quite say it. There are so many exorcist movies that starting long ago they began to add up to something larger than the sum of their writhing, low-devil-voice-talking, mottled-gray-skin-with-carved-crucifix parts. When “The Exorcist” came out 50 years ago, it fed into the rise of the new fundamentalist culture. Because the whole thing about “The Exorcist” is that it felt like it was bigger than a movie. It was making an announcement: The devil is here — and if that is so, maybe it means God is here too.
That’s why exorcist movies never went away. They feed our primal ecclesiastical horror nostalgia by feeding something else: our desire to glimpse the devil in the flesh (and maybe God as a bonus). It helped, in a strange way, that the vast majority of exorcist films are B-movie trash.

There are several similarities between the Catholic Church and the film industry. Among them is a tendency to let powerful people get away with unconscionable behavior. In that insidious overlap, director Joshua John Miller finds the heart of “The Exorcism,” an ambitious social commentary that commingles Hollywood’s penchant for wrongdoing with the abuses of the Vatican for a unique portrait of an actor unraveled.
On the one hand, it’s a mediocre genre movie with a title as mundane as it is misleading. On the other hand, even as a muddy character study making only the weakest attempts to scare, “The Exorcis-m” is still a bigger treat for fans of “The Exorcis-t” than its recent flop sequel, “The Exorcist: Believer.”

Director Joshua John Miller’s “The Exorcism” opens nationwide June 21, but one theater showing it holds a particularly special place in his heart: Quentin Tarantino‘s Vista Theater in Hollywood. Not only will the Vista screen “The Exorcism” in 35mm, but Tarantino has programmed Russ Meyer‘s 1965 cult classic “Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!” as a midnight show following Miller’s film on June 21 and June 22. “Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!” stars Miller’s mother, Susan Bernard, who passed away five years ago, and “The Exorcism” is a film inspired by his father, Jason Miller, who played Father Karras in “The Exorcist” and ended up working in lower-budget horror films like “Mommy” and “The Eternal.”

Director/co-writer Joshua John Miller has family history with horror. As a child actor, he was the kid vampire in Near Dark. Also, he’s the son of playwright-turned-actor Jason Miller, who played Father Karras in The Exorcist — the obvious model for the film-within-a-film being remade in The Exorcism. With star Russell Crowe riffing on well-publicised real-life difficulties, this is plainly a more personal (and unofficial) Exorcist add-on than, say, last year’s The Exorcist: Believer.
Though it has that low-light gloom of many recent horror films, The Exorcism is as much behind-the-scenes showbiz drama as shocker. Director Peter (Adam Goldberg) — such a snake you suspect the screenwriters have someone in mind — tries to get a performance out of washed-up Anthony Miller (Crowe) the way demons in possession movies try to destroy priests, spitting out wounding, vicious comments designed to scar the psyche.
Russell Crowe is more tragic than terrifying.

It’s crazy to think that Joshua John Miller’s The Exorcism was first announced back in 2019. The world has changed a lot since then and we’ve even gotten a similarly titled Russell Crowe movie in the meantime. Yet the only thing that The Exorcism shares with The Pope’s Exorcist (outside of its lead) is the subject matter. Because otherwise, this is a very different film, both in tone and plot. Following a film within a film about the remake of The Exorcist (although not by name) provides a unique opportunity. Many possession stories can feel rather “samey” so it’s nice to finally get a unique slant on it.

There’s much more than meets the eye in The Exorcism, from writer/director Joshua John Miller and co-writer M.A. Fortin (The Final Girls). Or rather, there’s a lot bubbling beneath the surface in this possession horror story.

The horror film The Exorcism, which was formerly known as The Georgetown Project and stars Russell Crowe, was once set to receive a North American theatrical release on June 7th, but you may have noticed that it’s not currently in theatres. That’s because it was pushed back to June 21st – and with that date one week away, a pair of clips from the film have arrived online. You can watch one in the embed above, and the other can be found at the bottom of this article.
Crowe recently played real-life exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth in the supernatural horror film The Pope’s Exorcist, which could turn out to be a franchise starter. He actually worked on this movie before making The Pope’s Exorcist – in fact, The Exorcism was first announced four and a half years ago. So it’s good to see that it’s finally making its way out into the world.

Tony Lo Bianco, the Brooklyn actor who oozed criminal charm in the gritty 1970s New York City dramas The French Connection and The Seven-Ups, has died. He was 87.
Lo Bianco died Tuesday night of prostate cancer at his horse farm in Poolesville, Maryland, his wife, Alyse, told The Hollywood Reporter.
Lo Bianco was also memorable as a smooth-talking con man with a lonely nurse (Shirley Stoler) for a girlfriend/accomplice in Leonard Kastle’s documentary-style The Honeymoon Killers (1970), which Francois Truffaut once said was his favorite American film.
In another cult classic, the horror thriller God Told Me To (1976), directed by Larry Cohen, Lo Bianco starred as a New York cop who investigates a series of bizarre murders orchestrated by the leader of a religious group (Richard Lynch).

Protesters Shouted Down Maga Lawmakers Outside Trump Trial Courthouse: ‘Go Home Carpetbagging Fools’
A crowd of anti-Donald Trump protesters repeatedly shouted down a group of Maga lawmakers outside of a lower Manhattan courthouse while a press briefing was taking place.
Last week, several of the former president’s allies made an appearance to rail against Trump’s prosecution in his New York hush money trial and emphasized their devotion to him.
The group included South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, former New York police commissioner Bernie Kerik, ex-Trump administration official Kash Patel, Trump senior adviser Jason Miller and Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Georgia).
When Trump’s supporters gathered to talk with the press and deliver their statements of support for the former president, protesters in the crowd jeered at and heckled them.
The police tried to keep the protesters at bay, but their sounds drowned out the Maga lawmakers from declaring support for Trump.

Updated, with Trump response: Robert De Niro was the surprise guest of Joe Biden’s presidential campaign for a press conference outside the Manhattan courthouse where closing arguments are taking place in Donald Trump’s hush money trial.
De Niro, who recently narrated a Biden campaign ad, warned of Trump’s potential return to the White House, calling him a “tyrant.”
“Now he’s promising to use our own military to attack U.S. citizens,” De Niro said. “That’s the tyrant, that is the tyrant he is telling us he will be, and believe me, he means it.”
“When Trump ran in 2016 it was like a joke,” he added. “This buffoon running for president. No, never could happen. We have forgotten the lessons of history that showed us other clowns who weren’t taken seriously until they became vicious dictators. With Trump, we have a second chance, and no one is laughing now.
