Lyubomir Mladenov was born on May 2, 1946 in Sofia. He graduated in "acting" in National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1972 in the class of Professor Grisha Ostrovsky. From 1972 to 1975, he is an actor in the troupe of Burgas Drama Theater. Since 1975 he is in the troupe of Theatre "Sofia". His roles are: Oswald in "Ghosts" by Ibsen, Montserrat in "Montserrat" by Rables, Mortimer in "Mary Stuart" by Schiller, Muaron in "Life of Moliere" by Bulgakov, Kai in "Violent Games" by Arbuzov, Napoleon in "Chosen fate "of B.Shou, Manev in "Barrier " by Pavel Vezhinov, Boris in" Feast During Democracy " by Stefan Tsanev, Max in "Let's Kill Matilda" by Orlin Dyakov, Shadow in "Master and Shadow" by Stig Dalayer, Kutsar in "Albena" by Yordan Yovkov and others. He has played leading roles in the films "In the Footsteps of the Missing", "The Dreamers", "Captain Petko leader", "Blow", " Rabbit's Death", "Case 205/1913", "Big Night Bathing" and in TV movies: "Remsisti", "Sleeping Beauty", "Very Nice People", "Visit to the Minotaur." He is a winner of national awards: First prize for Best Actor at National Review of Bulgarian Drama and Theater - 1974; Union of Bulgarian Actors' Award for Best Actor - 1975. He was a Chief Manager of Theatre "Sofia" from 1991 to 1992.
