Ben Schwartz, the voice of Sonic in the blockbuster Sonic the Hedgehog film series recently revealed a detail of his history as a gamer. His favorite video game isn’t about the blue blur he plays on screen, but a time-traveling hero and a talking frog. In a recent interview with IGN, Schwartz revealed his love for Chrono Trigger, the classic 1995 RPG for the Snes.

Get your tuning forks out, because the Delicious in Dungeon anime is cooking up a spectacular concert for fans to dig into next year! Titled "Delicious in Dungeon ~Delicious in Concert~", the event is set for March 9, 2025 at Sonic City Civic Hall in Saitama, Japan and will feature soundtrack performances by the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Delicious in Dungeon , a TV anime based on the fantasy manga of the same name, completed its first season of two consecutive cours earlier this month, and with the announcement of a new season currently in development , the series is celebrating with a new illustration (below) from Ryoko Kui, the author of the original manga. Netflix currently streams the first season of the series. The release date for Delicious in Dungeon Season Two has not yet been revealed. The anime adaptation of the Delicious in Dungeon manga series, written and illustrated by Ryōko Kui premiered in January 2024 and has become one of the more popular series of the Winter 2024 line-up. This fantasy series managed to capture the hearts of fans thanks to its brilliant combination of fantasy and comedy with… well, cooking. This is not an often-used formula, so we can agree that it is definitely something unique and special, which explains why fans love it so much. In Sea of Stars, players can give Music Sheets to the pirate band to hear music from the game’s soundtrack live in-game. The game is something of a throwback to the era of retro RPGs and even features music written by legendary Jrpg composer Yasunori Mitsuda. Music is a big part of Sea of Stars, and collecting Music Sheets allows you to hear more of the soundtrack as you stop off at taverns along your journey.

There are a total of seven Music Sheets that can be collected in-game to unlock new music tracks. All of the Music Sheets can be found or bought from vendors and will appear regardless of which Sea of Stars protagonist players choose. However, it can be time-consuming as you will need to progress through the game’s story to collect them all.

Indie retro-inspired RPG Sea of Stars is connected to The Messenger, which could confuse some newcomers about whether they need to play The Messenger before starting their adventure. JRPGs are caught in a perpetual tug-of-war between an irrational mainstream stigma and a dedicated fanbase that’s perhaps too attached to tradition. You could ask five different gamers for their opinion of a particular Jrpg and get six different answers. So I went in to Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology with totally middle-of-the-road expectations, despite the generally positive reception to its original 2011 DS release. At first it seemed to be meeting those expectations exactly, with a straightforward battle system, passable script, and unexpected Chrono Trigger influences. But as the game’s full breadth began to unfold, it felt less like a Chrono Trigger imitator and more like a successor, which may just be the highest compliment available to the genre.

Perhaps that label applies simply because there are no other contenders for it. The universe itself seems to have declared Chrono Trigger a once-in-a-lifetime achievement – its “dream team” production squad never convened again,...

North America and Europe will see both digital and physical realeases of the Japanese based game.

Valkyria Revolution will release June 27th in North America and June 30th in Europe. Both regions will see a physical and digital release for the game on PS4 for $39.99. (Price will be adjusted for Europe comparison) The Vita will also be seing the game, but it will only get a digital release for the same price.

While I missed out on Valkyria chronicles when it initially released, I fell in love with the remastered version that launched earlier this year. So I was pretty happy to hear that Valkyria Revolution will be making it's way State-side, even though it's changing up just about everything. The timeline is different, the characters are new, and the gameplay isn't pure turn-based strategy. While strategy will still be an element this time around, they've got a new system in place that sounds really neat:

Well here we are, the very end. It has been a pleasure to work alongside my Sos colleagues and produce this massive list of 100 titles (110, if you count special mentions), each of which reminds us why we love Nintendo so much. I mean, who wants to just tell characters what to do and watch them attack? Not me! And managing stats? Boring!

That was me, at least until I played Chrono Trigger for the first time.

Video games were well into the next generation of polygons and voice acting by the time I finally got around to Chrono Trigger at the turn of the new millennium. I was turned onto the game by a friend who was obsessed with it (rightfully so), and who could know, when I asked to borrow that little gray cartridge of his, that I would quickly become enamored with this most time-consuming of game genres?...

While we do not have any official release dates yet, we can confirm that the Ps Vita title Soul Sacrifice is headed to both European and American shores.
