The CW gave the chop to yet another long-running series on Friday. This time the creatives behind DC’s Legends of Tomorrow took to social media to share their thoughts on the show, following its cancellation at The CW after seven seasons. Legends got the chop shortly after Batwoman.
Co-showrunner Keto Shimizu broke the news of the series’ cancellation on Twitter. Shortly after, more creatives began sharing their thoughts on the cancellation and feelings of gratitude.
“This has been the journey of a lifetime for all of us. The little show that wasn’t supposed to be, grew into the show that could be anything it wanted,” posted the official Twitter account for the show’s writers room.
The post continued: “We will desperately miss creating this show, but most of all we will miss getting to make it together and sharing it with you. Legends Never Die!”

From VancouverFilm.Net, take a look at new images from the live-action "Legends of Tomorrow" episode "The Bullet Blondes", based on the DC Comics characters, directed by Kevin Mock, airing October 13, 2021 on The CW:
"...after defeating the aliens and saving Earth, the 'Legends' find themselves stranded in 1925 Odessa, Texas with a destroyed 'Waverider'.
"Wanting to help fix things, 'Astra' (Olivia Swann) tries using her powers, which creates unwanted attention from the town and that of the new 'Director of the Bureau of Investigation', 'J. Edgar Hoover' and a surprise no one expected.
"Realizing they need to escape, 'Sara' (Caity Lotz) and 'Ava' (Jes Macallan) create a distraction by going on a crime spree with Hoover hot on their tails.
"Meanwhile, 'Zari' (Tala Ashe) is finding it hard to get over 'Constantine', so 'Behrad' (Shayan Sobhian) suggests the only thing he knows that can help..."

Production on all of The CW’s Arrowverse shows is now underway. Arrow‘s Stephen Amell has teased that he’s been shooting some exciting material for the show’s eighth and final season. The Flash set photos reveal the return of a popular villain. And Supergirl’s going to get herself a new suit when she returns.
Now, however, we have our first hint at the next run of Legends of Tomorrow. Specifically, we’ve learned the title of the season 5 premiere. Exec producer Keto Shimizu shared a look at the first page of the episode’s script on social media to mark filming beginning on Legends‘s new season this past Monday (July 15th). The page reveals that the outing is called “Meet the Legends” and is written by Grainne Godfree and James Eagan and directed by Kevin Mock.

Now that Legends of Tomorrow‘s fourth season is nearly at its end, I think we can all agree that the show is more insane than ever before. Last season, it became obvious how the producers wanted to have more fun with the series and further differentiate it from the rest of the Arrowverse. And now, the firm establishment of magical creatures’ existence has opened up a new level of zaniness.
Speaking of which, such beings look to factor heavily into the season finale, “Hey, World!” From what we can gather, the Waverider crew aim to show the public at large that most of the mystical persuasion are actually harmless. This is, of course, in stark contrast to what Neron is leading everybody to believe as he continues masquerading as Ray Palmer.

When I wrote my review for the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow season 4 premiere (you can read it here), I couldn’t help expressing my curiosity for seeing what kind of mystical threats await the team beyond a unicorn possessing a taste for human flesh. And while the guest to follow may not end up being of the evil variety, we now have a better idea of what’s on the horizon.
Thanks to a number of images taken from the second episode to air this season, “Witch Hunt,” we’re able to confirm this is when the gang will cross paths with an actual Fairy Godmother. Additionally, various Legends can be spotted in attire native to the relevant time period, sans John Constantine, of course. One has to imagine that it’ll take the enigmatic exorcist a little more time before he’s willing to play ball, not to mention...

Each season, The CW likes to release a handful of posters promoting its most popular shows. Quite frankly, I think The Flash gets a little favoritism in that arena, but you can’t argue with the stunning results.
Not long ago, we were treated to an eye-catching piece that included Gypsy, which I assumed to be the final promotional one-sheet we’d receive for this season. As it turns out, I was wrong, because a new one recently dropped, this time splitting the focus between the Scarlet Speedster and Amunet Black.
To be honest, I can’t fault anyone for shining the spotlight on Katee Sackhoff’s character ahead of “Harry and the Harrisons,” given her rapport with the geek community. Already, we’ve seen a good amount of images circulating that are centered on her, which I felt to be a wise choice because the Council of Wells’ return...

As per usual, the Arrowverse has opened up the DC Universe to a broader audience in the past year by introducing a fresh batch of characters to the mainstream. In the case of The Flash, we’ve met the likes of the Thinker, the Elongated Man and Amunet Black, to name but a few of the more memorable ones. And that’s what’s cool about the TV side of things: We get to meet all kinds of heroes and villains that the movies will likely never have the time to get around to presenting.
Speaking of Amunet, we’ll be talking about her quite a bit today. That’s because she features prominently in the images promoting May 8’s episode, “Harry and the Harrisons,” which is also set to see the return of the Council of Wells, something I found to be the campiest thing season 4 has thus far yielded.

As The Flash gears up for the grand finale of its fourth season, it looks like an upcoming episode will take the chance to look back and celebrate a couple of new additions to the show from its current run. Namely, Katie Sackhoff’s villain Amunet Black and the Council of Wells.

Even though we have what appears to be an awesome crossover in the form of “Crisis on Earth-x” to look forward to next week, the reality of the situation is that the bulk of whatever plots unfolding across each of the Arrowverse‘s individual shows will have to be put on hold for the time being. This doubly builds anticipation for their reprisals, especially when you consider the cliffhangers that both Supergirl and The Flash left us on this week.
Well, expect some major payoff throughout the first full week of December when The CW airs midseason finales for its DC TV shows. For a special Halloween episode, Legends of Tomorrow is doing another take-off of a beloved classic movie. Season 2 previously paid homage to Star Wars by featuring a young George Lucas and, in next week’s episode, the show will tip its hat to the work of Lucas’ pal Steven Spielberg.
In “Phone Home,” as you can probably guess from the title, the Legends will find themselves in an adventure inspired by E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. When our ragtag heroes discover that Ray apparently dies as a child due to the time jumble that they caused, they travel back to the 1980s to find out what happened to him. It turns out that itty bitty Ray befriended a baby Dominator (the species first introduced in last year’s Arrowverse crossover). Not only does this make him wanted by the Us government, but the Dominator’s mother is on his tail, too.

And now that the fall season is in full swing, we continue looking ahead, this time at episodes of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow that are set to air on Halloween.
First up, on Tuesday, October 31 will be the scandalously titled “Elongated Journey into Night,” which will obviously see the much anticipated introduction of Elongated Man/Ralph Dibny to the series. From what we can gather via the synopsis, it sounds like he and the Scarlet Speedster will be rivals of sorts at first, but we expect them to patch up things eventually because a great mind like that of Dibny’s will prove to be a valuable asset in the coming battle against the Thinker.

The synopses have been revealed for Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, and Arrow for the episodes coming up in two weeks! Let's start with The Flash, as it clarifies a rumor about if Jesse Quick will be killed by Grodd's hands. This is not exactly a spoiler anymore because, well, it is in the synopsis and there is a listing on IMDb if the actress that plays Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) will be on the show. If you really do not want to know, skip over the first part. I'll spread it out a bit so you can avoid it easier, but again, it's not really a spoiler anymore.
