- Originated the role of Marvin, the Paranoid Android (as well as numerous other voices) in the BBC4 Radio comedy, "The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy". He later returned to provide Marvin's voice in the TV version, The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (1981).
