Rob Neighbors graduated from Montana State University in 1992, with a BA in Motion Picture and Television production. He thrived in college and graduated with honors. His focus was screenwriting. The day after graduation, Neighbors moved his family to Los Angeles to begin his career.

His first screenplay, Fantasies, Please Hold, generated interest right away and he obtained an agent and met with development executives around town. The script almost sold, but it didn't. The young writer had a taste of success and industry professionals recognized his raw talent.

In the following years, Neighbors was hired to write the screenplay, LAPD to Protect and Serve, loosely based on true events. The screenplay generated much interest and over time different producers and stars were attached. The film was eventually produced and starred Marc Singer, Dennis Hopper, and Michael Madsen.

Neighbors worked on several other development projects for various producers, and many of the projects got close to being made and had various stars and directors attached. Most of the projects were shelved for a myriad of reasons. Neighbors became frustrated and left the industry. He did not write again for years.

In 2014, Rob Neighbors, after being creatively dormant for years, decided he would attempt his first novel, Palm Avenue. He finished the novel within a year and self published it on Amazon. The novel was a good first effort and received many great reviews. His ultimate goal was to have the book made into a series of some kind, and he is shopping it now.

In 2020, during the Covid-19 shutdown, Neighbors wrote a sequel to his first novel, titled, Stardom - Beyond Palm Avenue, which will be released in 2021. He also wrote his first screenplay in years, Skid Row, which he is also shopping to producers.

Neighbors currently lives in Los Angeles.
