      Nekrasov was a long time friend of the late Alexander Litvinenko, a Russian defector whose life has sparked a documentary and book to be released. Nekrasov made a film about the murder Poisoned by Polonium: The Litvinenko File (2007), while Johnny Depp is reported to be in the fight for the rights to make a movie based on a book about his life and death.
