- Jamillah Nicole ( born Jamillah Nicole Gallman) grew up in Contra Costa and Marin counties. She started acting at age three, and honed her skills while taking classes at the East bay Center of Performing Arts in Richmond, California and the Black Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, Ca. She snagged a role in the play T'is The Morning Of My Life, starring Ruth Beckford ( The Principal, Funny Valentines) and Melvin Thompson ( Sudden Impact), a theatrical serial that ran for seven years, "with each year being, a different episode", she remembers. The play took Jamillah to Los Angeles where at twelve she got her first Agent.
