2024 has already been a big year for horror, and there’s only more to follow. On June 21, The Exorcism is set to be released in theaters. There hasn’t been a lot of exposure for this movie, but I recently saw the trailer while waiting for The Watchers. Here is what we can expect from yet another exorcism movie.

The Exorcism stars Russell Crowe, Ryan Simpkins, Chloe Bailey, and many other familiar names. The director is Joshua John Miller, who wrote the screenplay for The Final Girls and developed the TV series Queen of the South. In addition, he co-wrote the script for The Exorcism with M. A. Fortin, who he previously worked with on The Final Girls and Queen of the South.

I don't have a lot of friends who listen to "Howard Stern, and many of them are baffled by my obsession with the King of All Media. I suppose the fact that I'm a gay man has something to do with this, given that Howard is traditionally viewed as a straight-male icon. "Law and Order: Svu" is bringing in Nia Vardalos for an episode tackling gay marriage laws in New York State.

In the exclusive preview clip of "Criminal Hated" below, Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Amaro (Danny Pino) are doing an interrogation when Vardalos' Counselor Minonna Efron interrupts. It seems her client and the young man under interrogation aren't just boyfriends ... they're husbands.

Get this. Mike Tyson’s upcoming guest role on Svu isn’t your typical light work either. Deadline calls the part “dark” and “dramatic”. Tyson will bring to life a character by the name of Reggie Rhodes. Rhodes is a murderer sentenced to death. What put the man on that terrible path? Indications are, he’s the result of an atrocious childhood. Stories like his are probably a dime a dozen in the New York penal system, but either way, his particular case will grab the attention of Detective Benson and defense attorney Bayard Ellis, whose recurring role comes from Last Resort actor Andre Braugher.

According to NBC, Vardalos will play Counselor Minonna Efron, whose client is on trial for assault and murder. Vardalos' character is described as "disorganized," which makes D.A. Ever since I wrote a Three Stooges biography that Pete and Bobby Farrelly liked, they’ve kept me up to speed through their long effort to make a feature that not only channeled the spirit of the troupe’s indelible repertoire of slaps, eye pokes and workplace mishaps, but that actually brought back Moe, Larry and Curly to dish them out for a new generation. Our long national nightmare is over. Howard Stern has been telling fans for months that he didn't know if he'd be back on the airwaves of Sirius Xm satellite radio again when his contract was up on December 31. And, going into Thursday morning's (December 9) show, his ardent followers were getting anxious that they may only have five more chances to hear Stern before he disappeared from their cars and stereos for his next adventure ... or, Baba Booey-forbid, retirement.

Stern put their minds at ease on Thursday — but not before stringing them along with more than 35 minutes of artful stalling and red herrings that seemed to have some of his staff on the verge of passing out from nervousness — when he announced that after weeks of negotiations he has re-signed for five more years on satellite.

Howard Stern is sticking with Sirius . With only four more days on his existing contract after this morning's show, Stern announced he'll stay on his Sirius/Xm radio station for another five years -- and after that, he's done. "I have come to the conclusion that the real innovators, the real geniuses are the people here at Sirius," said Stern, adding "I can say with almost certainty that this is my final five years on radio.

Chicago – There’s no more daring performance on television right now than what Danny McBride does on HBO’s hilarious “Eastbound & Down.” Watching McBride deliver a performance that is this completely fearless in a medium so often dominated by the fear that comes with appealing to the lowest common denominator is reason alone to watch the season premiere of HBO’s “Eastbound & Down,” easily one of the funniest programs on television right now.

The second season premiere, airing tonight, September 26th, 2010, finds McBride’s Kenny Powers deep south of the border in Copales, Mexico, running a cockfighting ring under the name Steve and saying things like “you pay Steve when his cock wins.” In one of Powers’ typically-great bits of narration, we learn that Kenny is “haunted by the sacrifices he’s had to make” after leaving North Carolina and every remaining bit of fame and love behind.

Television Rating: 4.5/5.0 Chicago – Danny McBride had an amazing 2008, stealing scenes in “Tropic Thunder” and finding comic gold with director David Gordon Green in the great “Pineapple Express”. McBride, Green, director Jody Hill, and producer Will Ferrell have teamed up for the six-episode HBO comedy series “Eastbound & Down,” one of the most laugh-out-loud, promising comedy premieres in a long time.

It’s impossible to judge an entire show based on a first episode and it helps to have directors like Jody Hill and David Gordon Green (who also directed the excellent “Snow Angels” last year) behind the camera to start, but I thoroughly enjoyed “Chapter 1” of “Eastbound & Down” from first scene to last. It’s easily the best thing that McBride has done in a lead role (he and Hill also worked together on “The Foot Fist Way”) and a show that would make people who may have canceled HBO to...
