- Educated at Berliner University and the Vienna art school.
- Started as a bit part player after World War I. Formed his own short-lived production company in 1922, then worked as an actor in silent films and on the stage. Briefly led a jazz band in 1925. Forced to leave Germany due to his Jewish background in 1933, thereafter active as writer/director in France and America.
- Brother of Martin Nosseck, who owned the screening theater at Doheny Drive and Sunset Blvd (9130 Sunset Blvd) in Beverly Hills, CA, called Martin Nosseck Projection Theatre. This is the screening room that Howard Hughes stayed in and slept for many months. Hughes used this theatre as his private screening room whenever he was in Beverly Hills.
