A star from a beloved 1990s sci-fi show pitches a reboot idea, but with one caveat. The genre of science-fiction flourished on television during the 1990s, offering audiences imaginative explorations of futuristic technology and alien encounters. Star Trek: The Next Generation, which ended in 1994, set a high bar for sci-fi, while its spin-offs, Deep Space Nine and Voyager, expanded the franchise's universe. Meanwhile, The X-Files captivated viewers with its blend of government conspiracies, paranormal phenomena, and the chemistry between its two leads, Mulder and Scully, becoming a cultural phenomenon.
The era also saw the rise of more diverse sci-fi narratives, such as the epic storytelling of Babylon 5, which helped pioneer serialized television arcs. Stargate Sg-1 debuted in 1997, blending military drama with intergalactic adventure, while Farscape (1999) offered a darker and more surreal take on space exploration. Amid these series, Sliders stood out for its concept of parallel worlds, with each...

The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer has hinted about a possible celebrity version of each of the Bachelor Nation shows, but it might not be the best idea for the franchise. The Bachelor began by casting unknowns in the lead role, but tried a few famous people, including NFL player Jesse himself and actor Charlie O'Connell. However, as the years passed, the show began casting contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, who'd become celebrities themselves, as the leads. The Golden Bachelor began with unknown Gerry Turner, but then cast one of his contestants, Joan Vassos as The Golden Bachelorette.
Jesse Palmer revealed the famous faces that he'd like to see star in possible celebrity spin-offs of each of the Bachelor franchise shows.
In an interview with E! News, Jesse revealed the famous faces that he'd like to see star in possible celebrity spin-offs of each of the Bachelor franchise shows.

Unique parallel universe exploration in Dark Matter provides a captivating journey into different realities. Apple TV+ continues to impress with adaptations, showcasing the depth of the sci-fi genre. From Wizard of Oz to Sliders to Spider-Verse, the concept of multiverses has long fascinated audiences.
Apple TV+'s Dark Matter is one of the most unique TV shows of the year, telling the story of physicist Jason (Joel Edgerton) as he is kidnapped and transported into an alternate version of his life and fights to get back to his core universe. It's an entertaining journey that explores the idea of parallel universes, a concept that has been used in many movies and TV shows before.
While the idea of parallel universes has become more popular in the last few years with the releases of Spider-Man: Into the SpiderVerse, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and the introduction of the Multiverse in the MCU,...

One of the most anticipated parts of The Bachelor is the engagement, but there are several leading men who didn't propose at the ends of their seasons. Although it's easy to assume that proposing was the norm right from the start, the first Bachelor proposal was actually at the end of season 2, when Aaron Buerge got engaged to Helene Eksterowicz. This was followed by Andrew Firestone and Jen Schefft, Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado, and Andy Baldwin and Tessa Horst. Others include Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas, Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi, and Brad Womack and Emily Maynard.
In addition, The Bachelor couples Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson, Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, and Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi got engaged. Jason Mesnick proposed to Melissa Rycroft, and Arie Luyendyk Jr. did the same for Becca Kufrin. However, they changed their minds, and ended up marrying their runners-up,...

The Bachelor franchise has been casting contestants from The Bachelorette seasons for many years now, but in the beginning, celebrities were asked to be the leading men, and some turned down the reality dating series. Zach Shallcross, the current Bachelor, is the latest star to come from The Bachelorette. He was chosen as the lead after self-eliminating from Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey's season when his connection with Rachel fizzled.
Before The Bachelorette cast-offs became leads of the show, celebrities were given the chance to find the loves of their lives. Some notable leads were businessman Andrew Firestone, actor Charlie O'Connell, and NFL player Jesse Palmer, who is currently the host of The Bachelor franchise shows. Although these men said yes to the show, some celebrities have discussed the reasons why they turned down The Bachelor.

Always a contestant, never a lead. While hundreds of men have appeared as contestants in the Bachelor franchise since it began in 2002, only 22 men have served as the star of The Bachelor, with one man even handing out roses twice. Beginning with businessman Alex Michel in its inaugural season, ABC picked eligible normal men to be their lead, sometimes choosing a more high-profile name like NFL player Jesse Palmer or actor Charlie O'Connell or Firestone Tire heir Andrew Firestone. But midway through The Bachelor's 23-season run, the show realized its viewers were way more invested when they knew the lead from the previous season, especially when they chose...

The very first episode of The Bachelor premiered on March 25, 2002. Back then, it seemed crazy that two people could fall in love with each other, much less get engaged, in a matter of weeks. And yet, Bachelor Nation continued coming for more, proving that we just can't get enough of the ABC show. If you feel like taking a trip down memory lane, and seeing Chris Harrison in all his glory, it might be time to binge-watch some old seasons.
From seasons one to 22, there have been a whole lot of memorable moments. Thanks to ABC's tribute video to the host with the most, we know that there have been 6,578 kisses, 2,924 roses, and 37 proposals. Unfortunately, Netflix and Hulu won't help you see every single one of them. Neither streaming service offers old seasons. Even ABC's website only gives you access to episodes from the current season. At this rate, it...

Like many modern Christians, Huff (Charlie O'Connell) has developed his very own warped interpretation of The Bible. The misogynistic stories that Huff reads from his copy of "The Good Book" are purposefully designed to teach his three stepdaughters (Jenna Stone, Elly Stefanko, Amber Marie Bollinger) their proper place in the world, reducing their self-worth to mere sex objects to be traded and sold for the betterment of mankind. It is no surprise that Huff's wife, Lorelei (Elina Madison), is afraid to leave her idyllically attractive daughters alone with their violent and sex-crazed stepfather. Luckily, Huff spends a lot of time with his mistress, Laci (Natasha Alam), with whom he plans to escape to Mexico; but, in order to afford his early retirement, Huff invests in a drug deal that -- of course -- goes horribly wrong. Huff is then positioned to chase his three sexy stepdaughters (the proverbial pigs of this tale) around,...

The nurse was given the jewellery by O'Connell on the season finale of the ABC romance reality show's seventh run after he chose her as the winner over Krisily Kennedy. The All-Star cast of "Bachelor Pad" are revealed. In a series of shots done for promotional effort of the new reality series, familiar faces from the past and current seasons of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" gather at the poolside apparently to show how they are the selected, hot people.
In total, there are 19 men and women who will live under one roof and vie for each other's attention. Unlike the shows they came from, "Bachelor Pad" put them in some sort of game since there is a $25,000 prize at stake. There will be weekly challenges for immunity and chance to date fellow housemate and a house voting for the eliminated bachelor and bachelorette.
Hosted by Chris Harrison and Melissa Rycroft, the all-star edition includes three eliminated men from the running season of "Bachelorette". Jonathan the weatherman will once again compete with the season's villain Craig M. and guy with sexy voice Jesse.

They didn't win the hearts of their respective "Bachelor"s or "Bachelorette"s the first time around, but 19 of the more colorful characters from seasons past will return for "Bachelor Pad," competing against each other for $250,000 or perhaps a "second chance" at love.
Included are this season's "Bachelorette" resident jerk Craig McKinnon and the man who labeled him "dangerous," Houston weatherman Jonathan Novack and Season 5's fame monger with a girlfriend back at home, Wes Hayden.
Meanwhile, they didn't capture Jake Pavelka's heart the same way Vienna did, but last season's "Bachelor" gals Tenley Molzahn and Gia Allemand will both be back to give it another go.
While many contestants are from the most recent seasons, "Bachelor" veterans Gwen Gioia (Season 2, Aaron Buerge) and Krisily Kennedy (Season 7, Charlie O'Connell) are returning as well. Gwen is such an old-timer that her age is no longer being given out.

You don't need us to tell you that maintaining a relationship is not easy. Well, maintaining a relationship with TV cameras on is all but impossible. So we're not surprised by the breakup of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, not in the least. We present to you a list of other notorious, unlucky-in-love reality TV break-ups:
The Bachelors -- ABC's 'The Bachelor' is an entity unto itself when it comes to reality TV breakups. Simply put, the show has a terrible record of couples staying together. How bad? Try one for 14 (or two for 14 if you count Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney, technically a runner-up, from Season 13, which we won't).

Another "Bachelor" couple bites the dust. Charlie O'Connell has called it quits with his chosen lady love Sarah Brice from Season 7 of the popular ABC dating show.
O'Connell tells People, "Sarah and I actually just broke up ... I think it was a mutual break-up. The thing is that we dated for five years ... and [were] just arguing over the same things and stuff like that. And then eventually you've got to go your separate ways."
This is actually the second break-up for the couple. They went their separate ways back in 2007 but later reunited and were featured as one of the "Bachelor" franchise couples during the March 8 broadcast of Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney's wedding. HIlariously, O'Connell kept talking about buying a house, while Sarah kept reiterating not until she had a ring on her finger.
Guess that didn't work out for them. That brings the "Bachelor"/"Bachelorette" couples up...

Precedent continues to frown on recently engaged Bachelor couple Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi. Season seven's Charlie O'Connell and his winner, Sarah Brice, have called it quits for a second time. The pair first got together on the show in 2005, when O'Connell offered Brice the final rose but no ring. They split in 2007 but reunited sometime last year. In December, he even confessed that they were heading toward a trip down the aisle. "We're getting along and moving forward, so down the line, yes, there's a strong possibility we will get married," he told E! News. Alas, that was not to be. "Sarah and I actually just broke up," the...

Having announced the lion's share of its 2010-11 development slate during the Television Critics Assn. press tour, Oxygen Media had few significant surprises in store for its upfront presentation Tuesday. But if the sales pitch was short on intrigue, network brass kept things lively with moxie and research.
On the heels of Oxygen's most successful quarter since it launched a decade ago, Gm Jason Klarman talked up the recent ratings gains and advertising-sales momentum. Speaking before an audience that included NBC Universal president and CEO Jeff Zucker, Klarman said the network closed first-quarter 2010 at No. 18 in primetime among women 18-34, averaging 115,000 members of the demographic. Before NBC Uni acquired the network, a much older-skewing Oxygen averaged about 53,000 women 18-34, according to Nielsen ratings data.

"I was thinking about this earlier -- and it is too bad you guys won't get to see this -- but literally, a minute before Molly walked out, [my son] Ty tackled me and I had this huge moment with Ty. It was all emotional, and then I took him to his seat. Then Molly came out and I started crying all over again," Jason tells Et. There is an old saying that rain on your wedding day is a lucky omen. Ready to watch Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney of "The Bachelor" walk down the aisle?
Then tune in to ABC on Monday, March 8 for a two-hour special highlighting the arrangements, the dress fitting, the bachelor/ bachelorette parties and the ceremony.
According to ABC, many past "Bachelor" couples, stars and participants will be in attendance. It should be a ratings coup for ABC -- the wedding of Trista and Ryan from the first season of "The Bachelorette" drew over 17 million viewers.
This would be only the second "Bachelor" franchise couple to get married to each other, though reportedly Charlie O'Connell and Sarah Brice and Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski are engaged.
Our only question is: Is Melissa Rycroft invited?

A bunch of old faces from previous seasons of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" would be brought back on screen in an all-star edition. A spin-off called "The Bachelor Pad" is brewing and will see memorable contestants living together under one roof in a "Big Brother" type of house. Still, there's a prize at stake.
Instead of mere dating show, "Bachelor Pad" will feature various challenges inspired by incidents from the past seasons. Contestants who do not stand up to the game will be eliminated at the end of each episode.
"All these people have been friends, been enemies, they date each other and bring all this great backstory to the show," Executive Producer Martin Hilton revealed where the concept was derived from. "It seemed like there was an opportunity to combine that world with a new competitive reality show."
Chris Harrison has signed on to be the host but contestants have not been unveiled.

One of the only "Bachelor" couples still together is getting a reality show on Oxygen.
Oxygen has announced that Charlie O'Connell and Sarah Brice from ABC's "The Bachelor" are getting their own reality series titled "When Charlie Met Sarah."
This docu-series "takes viewers back to 2005 when Charlie O'Connell (brother of actor Jerry O'Connell) appeared on "The Bachelor" and decided Sarah was the one to end his single days. Since then, their relationship has been on and off due to Charlie's hard-partying ways. Now, they've reconnected and want to make it work for Real," according to the Oxygen press release.
The conflict will center around Charlie wanting Sarah to move in with him but she doesn't want to without a ring on her finger. Wait -- you don't still have your "Bachelor" engagement ring, Sarah?
What do we think? Anybody still care about this "Bachelor" couple's love life?
