The 1989 action classic Road House (watch it Here) recently got a decent enough Prime Video remake that’s set to receive a sequel – which is something the original movie should have gotten around 1991 or so. But no matter what other movies use the Road House title, nothing will ever compare to that ’89 movie… which I have vivid memories of watching at a drive-in during its initial release. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Road House, the estate of musician Jeff Healey has announced that they’re teaming up with Sony Music and Mondo Music to bring us Road House: The Lost Soundtrack, the complete, previously unreleased soundtrack that Healey recorded for the film.

After Road House in 1989, Patrick Swayze continued acting in hits like Ghost, Point Break, To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, and Donnie Darko, before passing away in 2009. Sam Elliott maintained a successful acting career after Road House, starring in popular shows like The Ranch and the Yellowstone prequel, 1883. He became the only Oscar-nominated star from Road House when he received a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his performance in the 2018 A Star Is Born remake. In addition to Swayze, several other Road House stars have since passed, including Ben Gazzara, Red West, Jeff Healey, and Sunshine Parker.

When Universal Pictures released the classic creature feature Tremors (watch it Here) back in 1990, they decided to market it with poster art that brings to mind the iconic poster for Universal’s 1975 release Jaws. But before they made that choice, they had hired famed artist Drew Struzan – whose work includes the posters for Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, and Star Wars films, among many others – come up with a couple poster ideas. Yesterday, Struzan took to social media to share a look at a couple of his unused Tremors poster concepts… and you can check them out in this embed:
