ABC has canceled the drama series “Alaska Daily,” “Big Sky,” and “The Company You Keep,” Variety has learned.

Hilary Swank starred in “Alaska Daily” series as Eileen Fitzgerald, described as “a fiercely talented and award-winning investigative journalist who leaves her high-profile New York life behind after a fall from grace to join a daily metro newspaper in Anchorage on a journey to find both personal and professional redemption.”

In addition to Swank, the series starred Jeff Perry as Stanley Cornik, Matt Malloy as Bob Young, Meredith Holzman as Claire Muncy, Grace Dove as Rosalind “Roz” Friendly, Pablo Castelblanco as Gabriel Tovar, Ami Park as Yuna Park, and Craig Frank as Austin Teague.

McCarthy served as creator and executive producer on the show, and also directed the pilot. Swank, Melissa Wells, and Bert Salke executive produced along with Kyle Hopkins and Ryan Binkley of the Anchorage Daily News. Peter Elkoff served as showrunner and executive producers.

Big Sky wrapped its third season earlier this week, and now viewers are wondering if a fourth season of the crime thriller series is in the cards. If the show is renewed, will it feature Jensen Ackles? He played the town sheriff on the ABC series, and the actor says that his character's future could take two different directions. He could stay put where he is or return to his former home in Houston to deal with his past.

A hiker’s threatened by a creepy stranger and falls to his death in the first few minutes of ABC’s Big Sky season three episode one. Plus, it’s disclosed Cassie (Kylie Bunbury) broke up with Mark, and he and Jerrie are off hunting the cartel. (Cassie says what we all think – Mark and Jerrie are good together.) And Jenny (Katheryn Winnick), Cassie, and Denise (Dedee Pfeiffer) all agree Beau really fills out his jeans – all before the opening credits roll.

Crime drama The Oath unveils its second season, which streams for free on Sony's Crackle.

The Oath Season 2 will see the Sony Crackle crime series starring Sean Bean continue fulfilling its title.

News of The Oath Season 2 renewal arrived at the upfront presentation at Sony Headquarters in New York, just a little over a month after The Oath made its March 8 premiere on Crackle. The series is, as Sony Crackle claims, the most-watched new original series in the platform’s history, with the highest episode-to-episode retention rate.
