As a working Texas actor, Rick Perkins spends his time doing radio
commercials, TV shows; industrials and feature films. Winner of the
Samuel French Award for Acting Excellence, Rick has quite a stage
career as well. Audiences remember him as Elvis in "Big El's Best
Friend" and as W. Lee "Pappy" O'Daniels, the colorful Texas Governor in
the hit musical "A Ride With Bob" , the musical journey of Bob Wills
life. Also known for his varied character work on the Border Radio
Show, a live stage show about the powerful pirate radio stations along
the Texas border in the 1930s-1980s. Wolfman Jack; "Pappy" O'Daniels
and Dr. Brinkley, the Goat Gland Doctor are just a few of the colorful
characters people love to see. Rick's one-man show "O. Henry: The
Rolling Stone" tours nationally as well, telling the life stories of
the famous author.
