Chicago – Ten years ago, an Independent film was released in Chicago, co-written and co-directed by Richard Knight Jr., an entertainment fixture in the Windy City. “Scrooge & Marley” offered a bit more than the previous versions of the familiar “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, it was the first to filter the story through same sex coupling and LGBTQ+ themes. A new staged version of the film, complete with the featured songs, will be presented at Chicago’s Center on Halsted on December 12th, 2022, at 7pm. It’s a Free event, register for tickets by clicking Scrooge & Marley.
The 10th Anniversary DVD edition of “Scrooge & Marley” has also been released by Dark Star Pictures, with special features and cast interviews, as well as a new digital download available. Click here for The Trailer.

Chicago – Bring up the immortal classic “A Christmas Carol,” by author Charles Dickens, then bring up how many film and TV versions have been done using its basic story. After a half hour of listing every conceivable production, a gay version won’t be found. “Scrooge & Marley” is the new film that takes care of that category. The premiere was last week in Chicago at the Music Box Theatre.

"Scrooge & Marley," is a modern adaptation of Charles Dickens's holiday classic, "A Christmas Carol," due to hit theaters later this month. While the plot remains the same, this version retells the story with a "gay sensibility" that "will appeal to audiences of all persuasions." The movie stars openly gay actor David Pevsner as Ben Scrooge and "Saturday Night Live" alum Tim Kazurinsky as the ghost of Jacob Marley.
And those aren't the only Lgbt-friendly parts of the film. Jason Gould, openly gay son of Barbra Streisand, performs the film's theme and special end credit song, "Amazing."
Get your first listen of the song:
Gould recently shared the stage with his mother on her much-celebrated "Barbra: Back to Brooklyn" concert, singing "How Deep Is The Ocean?" in the newly built Barclays Center.
"Amazing" will be featured on the film's soundtrack and can be purchased on iTunes later this month.

Ever wonder what happened after Rapunzel nabbed her Prince? After Jack chopped down the beanstalk? Or after Cinderella and her man lived "happily ever after?" Are you a fan of General Hospital's Anthony Geary (Luke), and enjoy sitting side-by-side in an informal venue with your favorite Gh stars? If so the new Lucid By Proxy's production of Stephen Sondheim's Tony winning musical "Into the Woods" is a must see for you.
Of course soap fans are well aware that there is no such thing as "happy ever after." For every time we've watched a supercouple ride off into the sunset, we have seen them return to greater headaches and problems. Geary's own participation in the fairy tale story of Luke & Laura on Gh is the perfect example of a storybook ending that later became a disaster for both characters involved. "Into The Woods" examines this premise with fascinating,...

Plus, United States of Tara engineers a breakup, Colbert travels by palanquin, CBS needs to pay Pauley Perrette, and guess which governor jogs with a laser-sighted Ruger?
Ron Burgundy has stayed classy all these years, just waiting for someone to decide to give him a sequel. Now that day has come, as Anchorman 2 is set to shoot next year. Even the stars admit it can’t be as good (ha!) as the first one, so they’re just going to go for outlandish.
McDreamy/McSteamy/McNugget or whoever it is that Patrick Dempsey plays on Grey’s Anatomy wants out once his contract ends in a year. I guess the show just isn’t paying enough to cover his hair product anymore.
Two little nuggets from the Spurf™ are that Tina was supposed to have an “Erotica/Justify My Love” number on Glee’s Madonna episode, but it got cut for time.
