Nikki Glaser is perhaps best known for being a comedian and an actress — and now a Golden Globes host — but did you know she’s also an accomplished singer? “It was the first dream I ever had in wanting to be a performer,” she revealed in 2022 after being voted out of “The Masked Singer” while wearing a Snowstorm costume (watch above). Glaser’s musical chops brought her all the way to the Semi-Finals during Season 8 of Fox’s wild and wacky reality TV, but alas, she was bested by Amber Riley as Harp and Wilson Phillips as Lambs.
As the hilarious Roast legend explained at the time, her dream of singing “was squashed at such a young age and it just became something that was not attainable to me.” She added, “When this opportunity came up, it was so perfect. I think what held me back was the fact that...

“It’s always fun as an actor coming out as an alter identity where you’re fully immersed in it,” says Corey Feldman, who was unmasked as Seal on “The Masked Singer” Thursday night. “You get to actually play into the character. The great banter that was improvised on the stage was all improvised. It’s not like you know what you’re gonna say or what they’re going to say. It keeps you on your fins. It was a lot of fun!” Watch his exclusive video interview with Gold Derby senior editor Denton Davidson above.
Feldman reveals the most difficult part of the process for him was watching the songs other people got to do. “Why didn’t I get to do ‘Billy Joel Night’?!” he exclaims. “I would have crushed ‘Billy Joel Night!’ If I could have done ‘The Stranger’ instead of ‘It’s Tricky” I think...

Hollywood actor Billy Baldwin, who shared the screen with actress Sharon Stone in the 1993 film ‘Sliver’, is fuming at the actress’ claims of being forced to have sex with him. Earlier, Sharon Stone claimed that a producer tried to force her to sleep with Billy Baldwin, reports Female First UK.
The actress had said that producer Robert Evans – who died in 2019 aged 89 – wanted her to get intimate with Billy, 61, while they filmed ‘Sliver’ together to improve his acting and “save the movie” from being a flop.
As per Female First UK, hours after her remarks emerged, Billy accused Sharon of being “hurt as he shunned her advances” – and said he was weighing up whether to write a book “about the many disturbing, kinky tales” he knows about the ‘Casino’ star.
He ranted on X: “Not sure why Sharon Stone keeps talking about me all these years later? Does she still...

In a statement posted to her Instagram Story, Ricci encourages her fans to “believe victims” and sheds light on her personal experiences with individuals who are “abusers privately.”

Billions, Season 7. Photo Credit: Mark Seliger/Showtime. One thing we’ve learned from the show Billions is that, apparently, the more money you have, the more you appreciate music. Not only has Billions used several iconic pieces of music as part of its soundtrack, but nearly all of the show’s key characters regularly have lines referencing songs or artists, and several artists have appeared (as themselves) on the show, including Metallica, Michael Bolton, Ben Folds, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, and indie darling Jason Isbell. The show’s creators, Brian Koppelman and David Levien, are big music fans themselves — Koppelman’s father was the “K” in ’90s label Sbk Records — and they spoke to us about the importance of finding the right music for the show. Elton John’s “Daniel” was overshadowed by a slow Paul McCartney song. “Daniel” is a song about a soldier in the Vietnam War. The Wings song in question is one of Paul’s worst love ballads.
Elton John’s “Daniel” has some interesting lyrics. Despite that, it was kept off the top of the charts by a Paul McCartney song. Notably, John’s co-writer Bernie Taupin said “Daniel” was widely misinterpreted by listeners.

Amber Riley has made TV history with her win on The Masked Singer season eight.

Following the top-secret 12-week singing competition, the 36-year-old actor, who had been disguised as a gold shimmery harp, was the last standing contestant to unmask.
Riley’s newest triumph marks her second major win on a TV reality show competition. In 2013, she and her dance partner, Derek Hough, took home the coveted mirrorball trophy of Dancing with the Stars season 17.
Other celebrities, including Gladys Knight and Margaret Cho, have attempted both competitions, however, Riley is the only one to have ever achieved the double feat.

A judge declared a mistrial Wednesday at the rape trial of “That ’70s Show” actor Danny Masterson after jurors, who were leaning strongly toward acquitting him, deadlocked following the monthlong trial in which the Church of Scientology played a supporting role.
Prosecutors said Masterson raped three women, including a former girlfriend, in his Hollywood Hills home between 2001 and 2003 and the church dissuaded them from going public for years. Masterson, 46, pleaded not guilty and his lawyer said the acts were all consensual.
“I find the jurors hopelessly deadlocked,” Judge Charlaine Olmedo declared after the jury foreman said there was nothing the court could do to move them closer to reaching a unanimous decision. She set a March date for a retrial in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Olmedo had ordered jurors to take Thanksgiving week off and keep deliberating after they said on Nov. 18 that they could not reach a consensus. A...

Prior to the Lambs big reveal, panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger submitted final guesses: Wilson Phillips (Robin and Nicole), The Chicks (Jenny) and Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian (Ken). Of course Robin and Nicole were correct in naming the group consisting of Chynna Phillips, Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson.
“It’s a journey that we will never forget,” they told host Nick Cannon during their unmasked interview. “It’s been amazing. I have no words. I’m speechless. Do you know...

Reality TV history was made when Amber Riley was awarded the Golden Mask Trophy on “The Masked Singer” Wednesday night. The actress became the first celebrity to win both the singing competition and “Dancing With the Stars.” She took home the Mirrorball Trophy with her partner Derek Hough on Season 17 in 2013.
Riley was revealed to be Harp, who was the first performer of the season and the last one standing. Her song selections throughout the weeks included “Perfect” by Pink, “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston, “Thank You For Being a Friend” from “The Golden Girls,” “About Damn Time” by Lizzo, “The Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga and “Gravity” by John Mayer. She defeated the Lambs in the finale, who were revealed to be singing trio Wilson Phillips.

Colorful, chaotic character masks may be the great equalizer on “The Masked Singer,” but that doesn’t mean they’re all that easy to perform in. In fact, for season 8 runners-up the Lambs, holding their microphones with their hooves was about as easy as jumping out of a plane.
On Wednesday night’s finale, the Lambs came in second to the Harp, who was revealed to be “Glee” star Amber Riley. So, who were the Lambs? Well, as judge Robin Thicke guessed, the trio was none other than Wilson Phillips, the group best known for their song “Hold On.” But, according to the women, holding on to their equipment was no easy task in their costumes.
“Honestly, we might as well have been skydiving,” Carnie Wilson told TheWrap with a laugh. Her sister, Wendy Wilson, readily agreed, adding that the hooves weren’t even the hardest aspect of the costumes to maneuver.

Warning: Massive spoilers ahead for the Season 8 finale of “The Masked Singer”
Season 8 of “The Masked Singer” has come to a close, and it was a fierce competition between the final two acts. In the end, though, only one could take home the title. And that one was…
…the Harp! The golden string instrument took home the Golden Mask trophy, making the Lamb trio the runners-up for the season. Harp and Lambs quickly became frontrunners after their debuts on the show, and the latter marked a historical milestone for the show, as their advancement to the finale marked the first time a group act ever made it to the top two in the competition.

“The Masked Singer” ended its eighth season on a “Glee”-ful note. Singer and actor Amber Riley, known for playing Mercedes Jones on Fox’s “Glee” and more recently for projects including “A Black Lady Sketch Show” and Lifetime’s “Single Black Female,” was revealed as this season’s winner on the Wednesday night finale.
Riley was unmasked as the Harp, beating out the Lambs — who were unmasked as 90s vocal group Wilson Phillips.
“It’s very validating as an artist,” Riley tells Variety about her win. “It can get very discouraging in this industry, especially as a music artist. I’m pretty much a new artist, even though I’ve been in this industry a really long time… to hear all the amazing...

Wilson Phillips’ last single was 2012’s “Good Vibrations,” which isn’t shocking considering it’s a cover of a song co-written by the father of two of the band’s members. But now the California trio have completely branched out for their first new song in 10 years: a rendition of Harry Styles’ “Boyfriends.”
The penultimate Harry’s House track is a three-minute gem containing Ben Harper’s slide guitar, with Styles’ gentle vocals woven throughout. Wilson Phillips nail it so perfectly it could be their own song, applying their signature...

There’s a modest home in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Cheviot Hills, with a stucco roof, a jacaranda tree out front, and a 1989 Mercedes 560Sl in perfect condition resting in the driveway. One afternoon last month, Chynna Phillips sat down on a lawn in upstate New York, took out her iPhone, and told more than 25,000 people about the time she crashed into a bus while on Quaaludes. Wearing an embroidered hot-pink tunic and a Larimar necklace, Phillips reflected on her teenage mishap, shaking her head, while the words “Cringeworthy Moment: 4” flashed across the screen.
This is a typical day for the Wilson Phillips lead singer, who has uploaded more than 300 videos on her YouTube channel, California Preachin, over the past two years.

At age 19, Chynna Phillips was just trying to get well.
The singer, who formed Wilson Phillips in 1986 with Carnie and Wendy Wilson, had struggled with drug and alcohol addiction throughout high school. As the trio cultivated their sound, learning together how to turn beautiful harmonies into thoughtful, original songs, she sought help.
“I was at a real crossroads in my life because I was still in a lot of pain over my ex-relationship, and I was just struggling to navigate through some pretty painful childhood experiences in therapy,” she says.

William Baldwin ditched his plans for law school and a career in politics when he caught a love for acting. You couldn't make "Say Anything" today. Lloyd Dobler would be standing outside Diane Court's house holding up his iPhone... nah, it just wouldn't work.
"Say Anything," which opened 25 years ago this week (on April 14, 1989), was definitely a movie of its time. In addition to that iconic moment where Lloyd uses his boombox to serenade Diane with Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes," it's the movie that made John Cusack into Generation X's favorite romantic leading man, as well as launching Cameron Crowe's directing career. And its countless cameos fill the film with faces that were familiar to audiences a quarter-century ago (blink and you'll miss Chynna Phillips, of Wilson Phillips fame, as Joe's new girlfriend) -- or those that were about to be, like future Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard (he plays a cab driver), Dan Castellaneta (on the eve of fame as the voice of Homer Simpson, he...

But...
