Former General of Russian cavalry attached to the staff of Grand Duke Michael.
Fought in Russian Revolution and later captured and imprisoned by the Bolsheviks.
He escaped and made his way to America via the Orient.
For a while he worked in a film laboratory, but began to act as a technical advisor for motion pictures on Russian culture, settings, costumes and military details.
