Bill Rafferty died on August 11, 2012, at age 68. Only 5 months before his death, Rich Jeffries passed away on March 30 of that same year. They worked together on Blockbusters (1987) in the 1980s.

Best remembered by the public as the roving reporter on Real People (1979).

Had remained close friends with Rich Jeffries until Jeffries' death. Rafferty would die months after him.
