Rali Raltschev was born on September 20, 1957 in Dimitrovgrad, Bulgaria. He graduated in "cinematography" in National Academy of Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgara in the class of Professor Georgi Yordanov (1982). He was an assistant of Radoslav Spassov, Victor Chichov, Atanas Tasev. His first big movie is Aktasheva and Piskov's "Only your heart", 1987. His camera is co-author of Ivan Tcherkelov's debut "Pieces of Love, 1989". Iglika Trifonova rely on it in "Tales of murder," 1993; "Letter to America", 1999. Rali Ralchev is the most sought-Bulgarian cinematographer. He has shot - "Investigation", directed by Iglika Trifonova, "Christmas Tree Upside Down", directed by Ivan Tcherkelov and Vasil Zhivkov, and "Monkeys in Winter", directed by Milena Andonova. For them took annual professional prize at the National Film Center in 2006. He has specialized in Germany. Since 1995 is a visiting professor of cinematography at the Academy of Film and Television in Berlin. He was awarded the Italian association of operators "Nestor Almendros " for "Samsara " and " Luna Papa", directed respectively by German and Indian director.
