It will be all hands on deck — including a couple of heroic new ones — when The CW unfolds its four-way, two-night crossover event involving Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

When the comic book-style poster for this year’s crossover was revealed, the eagle-eyed spied in the bottom left corner someone that the Arrowverse has not yet incorporated. But the official synopsis confirms the “cool” twist:

Last season, the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark matter storm that struck forensic scientist Barry Allen — bestowing him with super-speed and making him the fastest man alive. But Barry wasn’t the only person who was given extraordinary abilities that night.

The CW has released the official descriptions for the episodes of Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow which will air during the week beginning May 2nd. Surprisingly, they feature some pretty major spoilers for what’s to come, but there will no doubt still be plenty of other twists and turns before each of these show’s respective seasons are over.

Starting with Arrow though, and there’s not much in the way of spoilers or anything of much interest to be perfectly honest. If anything, this instalment sounds a tad unexciting.

As Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) look for a magical solution to defeat Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough), a vengeance-driven Diggle (David Ramsey) gets a lead on Andy’s (guest star Eugene Byrd) whereabouts and heads off to confront his brother. Meanwhile, Alex (guest star Parker Young) takes Thea (Willa Holland) on a vacation...
