He was a composer and writer, known for Ekhono Onek Raat (1997), Nawab Sirajuddaula (1967) and Daan Pite Chele (1980). He was married to Nilufar Yasmin, Mahbuba Rahman and Wheaton, Shirley. He died on 1 December 1997 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
