A lot has been said about T.J. Miller’s “Silicon Valley” exit. Miller himself said he didn’t like co-showrunner Alex Berg and also added that it just felt like the right time to leave. Berg previously told TheWrap that the finale was written in the way it was because producers “kind of had a sense that this might be the end of the road for him.” Since Miller has waged a war of words against the HBO show and its leadership, many have speculated that it could be the end for the actor-comedian’s career (an idea he flat out denies). Rumble Fish, Francis Ford Coppola’s Young Adult tone poem, unspools in a black and white never-never land of sullen teens, pool tables and pompadours. It may take a moment for the audience to suss out that we’re not in the Eisenhower era with Chuck Berry, Marilyn Monroe and the Cold War but squarely in Reagan’s domain of MTV, Madonna and the Cold War.
Set in a destitute Oklahoma town with the ghost of The Last Picture Show whistling through its empty streets, Matt Dillon plays Rusty, an inveterate gang-banger growing up in the shadow of his older brother played by Mickey Rourke, a reformed juvenile...

Welcome to the March 10, 2015 edition of Outrage Watch, HitFix's (almost) daily rundown of all the things folks are peeved about in entertainment. Today's top story: seems Madonna is having her Patricia Arquette moment. “Gay rights are way more advanced than women’s rights," said the superstar in a new interview with Out magazine. She added: "It’s moved along for the gay community, for the African-American community, but women are still just trading on their ass. To me, the last great frontier is women. Women are still the most marginalized group." Uh-oh. "Dating Tupac — and Basquiat — doesn’t make you an authority on the black experience, and being interviewed in Out doesn’t make you intimate with the gay one," snipes Salon's Mary Elizabeth Williams. "Madonna’s words stall progress for all social movements when she turns the fight for equality into a competition," gripes Carbonated.tv's Jessica Renae Buxbaum.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly to promote the horror/comedy movie "Hellbaby," Rob Corddry's co-stars could barely keep their distaste of the comedian to themselves. So much, in fact, that the interview went completely off the rails as each cast member revealed what a monster Corddry was during shooting.
As soon as the interview began, Corddry took over answering questions from host Anthony Breznican, steamrolling any opportunity for answers from his co-stars Leslie Bibb, Thomas Lennon, Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer, Riki Lindhome, Keegan Michael Key, Alex Berg and Robert Ben Garant.
Finally, Scheer snapped. "Why don't you shut up?!" he yelled, before the rest of the group ganged up on Corddry for his racism, alcoholism and his generally rude attitude. "It was like working with a more difficult Sean Penn," Scheer volunteered.
If it's not clear, the entire interview was set up and executed by a bunch of master improvisers as a gag.

Since the competition began in 1956, singers chosen by their respective countries have gained notoriety with campy and strange performances on Eurovision. The Swedish pop group Abba had its breakthrough moment when it won the 1974 competition with the future hit "Waterloo," and later Celine Dion won the 1988 contest for Switzerland before taking the world by storm. While Germany's Guildo Horn didn't quite achieve international stardom with his 1998 performance of "Guildo Hat Euch Lieb," aka "Guildo Loves You," he triggered Guildo fever in his home country with the song. In the performance, which took seventh place, Horn parades around the stage in a cape,...

If 2009 was the year of Jersey Shore, MTV's runaway hit about a group of 20-something "guidos" boozing at the beach, then 2010 was the year of the proliferation of all things Jersey, with just about every network trying to cash in on the craze. Though the Jersey Shore gang headed to Miami for the second season of the show, they brought plenty of Jersey flavor along, namely the no-holds-barred fighting that defined the first season. In round one at Seaside Heights, Snooki, aka Nicole Polizzi, may have fallen victim to the punch heard around the world, but the guidette phenom-or public annoyance, take your...

Read on, because what you think is just a metaphor in the title really, really isn't.
A few days ago, Sacha Baron Cohen, along with writers Alex Berg, Jeff Schaffer, and David Mandel (of Curb Your Enthusiasm), started pitching studios a new comedy they're working on. No Borats or Brunos, no wild shenanigans ... until the next day. Come day 2, Wme Entertainment had a goat wandering around their third floor atrium. Sources said it was because Paramount wants the pitch, which seems to involve a character who tends goats. (But, presumably, doesn't stare at them.) A source said: "This is the reason why people are paying so much attention to this pitch. It's a big straight ahead comedy and Sacha is starring in a really funny role." Day 3: The goat worked. Paramount has nabbed the comedy after a bidding war, a bidding war upped by not one, but two, goats.
