Don Reid was born on 7 January 1931 in Cobar, New South Wales, Australia. He was an actor and writer, known for Moulin Rouge! (2001), Boo! (2012) and A Cry in the Dark (1988). He was married to Wilma Fay Heuston and Fiona Press. He died on 9 April 2013 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
