- Besides Sean Connery, he is the only actor to appear in both Thunderball (1965) and the remake Never Say Never Again (1983).
- He dubbed part of his old friend Orson Welles's performance in Treasure Island (1972), so subtly that the imposture went almost entirely unnoticed. He also re-voiced part of Christopher Plummer's performance in The Royal Hunt of the Sun (1969) without anyone noticing.

In the same film, Rietty had also dubbed Gamil Ratib's voice at first place.

- Although he dubs several continental actors, mostly uncredited ones, in "Doctor Zhivago", he does NOT dub Klaus Kinski in the role of Kostyed, the anarchist. That's Kinski's own voice that is heard.
- He dubbed the characters of Emilio Largo and Tiger Tanaka in the Bond films, "Thunderball" and "You Only Live Twice.".
- The 1971 film "Deep End", directed by Jerzy Skolimowski, gave Rietty a lot of work. Although set entirely in London, the film was mostly shot in Munich with German actors in supporting roles. Almost all the male roles in the film are provided by Robert Rietty.
- As providing dubbed voices in the James Bond films, he in fact spoke the first line in the first Bond film Dr. No (1962), providing the dubbed voice of Tim Moxon's character.
