Brilliant, sweet, ladylike English character star Joan Ritz born in the
late 1850's. starred in many drama and classical theatre productions
from the 1880's. starred and supported in drama and comedy films for
many different Film Companies. she made her movie debut in George Loane
Tucker's 'A Bachelor's Love Story' starring Henry Ainley at the London
Film Company in 1914. perhaps her most memorable role was as Grand
Duchess Thora in 'Royal Love' co-starring Eve Balfour and Gregory Scott
made at Transatlantic Film Co in 1916, and as Maggie Hobson in Percy
Nash's 'Hobson Chice' for the Master Film Co in 1920. Her last screen
appearance as Anastasia Craggs in 'The Croxley Master' for the Screen
Plays Films in 1921.
