Sings the song "Para Llegar" on the Alcanzar una Estrella II spinoff CD "Muñecos de Papel". She also sang an unreleased song called "Nada es Tan Fácil".

On July 1, 2012 her husband, Enrique Peña Nieto won the Mexico's presidential election, and as a result he became President-Elect of Mexico. When he was sworn as President on December 1, 2012, Angélica became First Lady of Mexico. The first actress to ever assume this role in Mexico's history.

She had three daughters with former husband Jose Alberto Castro: Sofia (b. 1996), Fernanda (b. 1999) and Regina (b. 2005).
