**Hayedeh Safiyari is a renowned Iranian-Swedish film editor and a prominent member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, where she also serves on the Film Editors Branch Executive Committee. She graduated in Art Cinema from a prestigious university in Iran, after which she immediately began her career in film editing with Iran's national television.
Over the course of her career, Safiyari has worked with some of Iran's most acclaimed filmmakers, including Asghar Farhadi, Bahram Beyzai, Bahman Ghobadi, Darush Mehrjui , Reza Dormishian, Pouran Derakhshandeh Raoul Sadrameli , Alireza Raeesian, Shahram Alidi, Mani Haghighi and Ali Abbasi . She is particularly known for her long-standing collaboration with director Asghar Farhadi, editing his Oscar-winning films *A Separation* (2011) and *The Salesman* (2016).
Throughout her 35 year career, Safiyari has edited more than 90 feature films and numerous documentaries. Many of these films have been showcased at prestigious international festivals, including Cannes, the BFI London Film Festival, the Berlin International Film Festival, the Venice International Film Festival, and the Locarno Film Festival. Her work has earned her multiple accolades, including the Crystal Simorgh, the Cinema House Statue, the Asian Film Award, and honors at the Fajr Film Festival and the Iran Film Critics & Writers Association. Additionally, she has been nominated for international awards such as the Cinema Writers Circle Award, the International Cinephile Society Award, and Spain's Goya Award.
Hayedeh Safiyari has served as a jury member at both national and international film festivals, including the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and the Rabat International Film Festival.
