The 21st edition of the Glasgow Film Festival kicks into gear on Wednesday (February 26) with the world premiere of survival thriller Tornado from Scottish filmmaker John Maclean. Oscars announce third round of presenters

The third round of presenters has been announced for the 2025 Oscars, with 2012’s Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award recipient Oprah Winfrey among them. She’ll be joined by Joe Alwyn, Sterling K. Brown, Willem Dafoe, Ana de Armas, Lily-Rose Depp, Selena Gomez, Goldie Hawn, Connie Nielsen, and Ben Stiller. Executive producer and showrunner Raj Kapoor and executive producer Katy Mullan made the announcement early Wednesday morning.

The Lincoln Lawyer book series receives an update from author Michael Connelly as season 3 of Netflix's adaptation nears its release. Based on the books by Connelly, the first of which was previously adapted into the 2011 film starring Matthew McConaughey, Netflix's legal drama follows Mickey Haller, a defense lawyer in Los Angeles who frequently conducts business from the back of a chauffeured Lincoln Navigator. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo leads The Lincoln Lawyer cast alongside Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, and Christopher Gorham.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant ahead of season 3's release, Michael Connelly confirmed that an eighth Lincoln Lawyer book is coming. Updated: “It’s personal” for Mickey Haller. Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) is bound and determined to get to the bottom of who killed his former client Gloria Days (Fiona Rene).

“This one is personal, because it’s a client that he actually really cared about and thought she had gotten out of that life and out of danger,” co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez told Netflix’s Tudum. “Mickey very much is [wondering], ‘Did he have something to do with this? Could he have done more to help her?’ ”

We finally have great news for fans of Netflix's hit legal drama series The Lincoln Lawyer. While the streaming service previously set the series' third for a release in 2025, we no longer have to wait that long. The Lincoln Lawyer season 3 will make its premiere on Oct. 17, 2024!

Netflix announced the release date news on Aug. 21 and unveiled a number of first look photos from the upcoming season, which tease Mickey Haller back in the courtroom taking on Glory Days' murder case as well as a photo of him and Maggie getting a little up close and personal.

Furiosa's streaming release could boost its success and reshape its reputation after a lukewarm box office performance.
