Iossif Surchadzhiev

Born on May 2, 1945 in Sofia in the family of director and founder of
the Sofia Satirical Theatre Stephen Surchadzhiev and Anna Fadenheht,
the daughter of lawyer and politician Joseph Fadenheht. In 1970 he
graduated from Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts (later: National
Academy for Theatre and Film Arts.He has worked in theaters in Sliven
and Kyustendil. Later he has worked at the Theatre Bulgarian Army in
Sofia and at the Burgas theater. Since 1984 he is named People's
Artist.
